Yeah I mean people talk about his struggles in WCS but he's gotten ro16 in all three this year. Season one was Group of death, season 2 was Bomber, Innovation, Bbyong, and Season 3 was Parting/Maru/Kangho. He just lands in groups of death all the time.

You guys act like Flash is incapable of winning a all. He's still very good. Curious is also a beast ZvT who also, like DRG just won against Innovation. I don't think you can count out Flash.

And he scouted the all in soooo early, that he had more than enough time. You still need decent amount of units to fill the bunkers, otherwise they aren't worth anything. And since he opened cc 1st and oracle did some kills/damage on the marines Hack would never be able to get enough units. Hack could havepositioned that bunker further away from the ramp, evacuated the main and have workers ready to repair, but even then it is hard to hold of because stalker numbers are high enough that bunker can be easily sniped. Just remember that game between MMA and MC. Even though MMA scouted it early, put the bunker in the right place, even managed to snipe the MSC which gave him a lot of extra time, it was still hard to hold off. So anyone who says that any diamond level terran should be able to hold blink all in that is scouted early is just plain wrong. It is not a gimmicky strat (in a sense that it works only if it is not scouted and fails if scouted). It is actually strong regardless of the scouting.

I guess I have to cheer for Flash since he is the last terran.

People expect flash to be a championship contender. A championship contender has to be able to win against other championship contenders. If Flash fails the Group of Death thrice he's probably not top of the world.

I don't think you can count out Flash. Who denies that, but he always lands in groups from which he cannot advance from in SC2. Or gets reverse-swept in Ro8. If neither happens, he meets Life.

He's not top of the world, but losing those groups doesn't make you bad.

Of course a diamond terran could not hold an all in by naniwa. I was overstating. But I'd say after scanning the Blink. The ball is in Hack court. Had he played this out correctly he has a ~ 85% win chance from that point. He easily had enough units to fill 2 bunkers, he had scvs. Stim on the way. He just needed to buy some time because with stim the all in is pretty much over, if Toss has not completely snowballed the unit advantage before stim finished.

The main thing is, if you expect blink at all, you should know where the logical blink point is for Protoss, and should place bunkers accordingly.
