I'd recommend the classic in-ear + soundproof headphones combo, no chance of hearing shit with that on (also has saved my ears from my brother's drumming over the years)

Yes, this is what I was referring to previously. Noise cancelling headphones, the industrial grade ones, then in ear for game sounds etc.

Ahh, this is really, really awesome. I live in London and feel like there seems to be next to no LAN's this side of Europe. With such a massive event occurring so close, it gives me hope that the scene will grow! Good luck, I wish I could make it, but I will definitely be watching!
