That's the only flaw in this system. Its a shame for Thorzain but it happens It's not the only one. You can qualify by beating the worst in the group (0-2) and not having to meet the best in the group (2-0) with a 2-3 score against the remaining player (1-1, 2-3 in games). Some people are OK with this, but I'm not. The same can be said for Dreamhack/MLG/IEM Round 64 players where you can get into Round 16 without playing the best players either. So many people QQing because a Korean advanced over an European. If it was the other way around, no one would give a fuck and make these sorry excuses.

Let's put it another way then: MC won 2 Bo3s, Thorzain only 1. Does it seem fair that Thorzain would advance over the guy who won more games in the group? MC dodged the strongest player in the group, Thorzain did not Yeah, fair
Oh yeah let's subjectively put MC against the (supposedly) strongest player in the group to make sure the white guy and MC have equal chances of advancing. Equality!

Yeah actually this is what this thread is full of, I'm happy for the sake of liquibets that MC made it through

That was one of the best executed all ins I've ever seen. Almost anyone else would have just thrown his army into bunkers and die instantly, or expanded and gone in a macro game from behind. Instead, he did all the damage he could get with those perfectly controlled void rays and oracles while he researched blink which was simply brilliant.

I'm just saying some people whine about map score/route the player took. I think if you win 2 bo3's you advance fair and square. Oh, right. It's only ever a issue when someone's favorite player loses, though, which kind of invalidates the criticism TT Yeah if this had been Thorzain coming through from the loser's match all of these people would be praising his endurance and comeback skill. But since their player lost, it's imba format.

Arguing? It's just unnecessary whining. They are mad that MC won and need to blame something. If it wasn't the format it would have been something else.

Ahh, poor Thorzain...
To go 3-2 against MC TvP and yet MC advances while he does not. So sad... unless you're MC!

I can't believe people are actually arguing that players should forfeit their first series so they don't have to play in the winners bracket, then win from the losers bracket since it is "easier"
LMFAO.

GG's MC!

LMFAO. Just ask Polt, it's the best strategy (clearly)

All that AND he wasn't afraid to take risks with those VRs and oracles. Getting behind the natural minerals like that was a bold move but it paid off in spades!

Waat damn, didn't know ro8 gave that many points, fuck.
Yup, he got an extra 300 points by advancing to the ro8, which puts MC at 2775 points.Naniwa is at 2750.
