Our first Semi-final will take place between Elfi and Welmu. Both players are well known for their PvP so this match could be quite entertaining. According to Aligulac.com the players have faced each other a surprisingly low seven times in a competitive setting in SC2!! Considering both players compete in a lot of the same LANs and online tournaments I was shocked to see that the last competitive meeting was at ASUS ROG last summer where Elfi won a close 3-2 series in the second day of group play. The only other time the players faced each other in HotS was a 2-0 win for Welmu in the Starcraft2.fi 3 year anniversary tournament back in May.

Elfi 3 - 2 Welmu. Ask me to start justifying why and I'll only come up with reasons why Welmu will win, but my gut stays with Elfi in a close series.

On the other side of the bracket we have the up and coming and current "Finnish LAN Champion" (3 - 2 over Elfi at Insomnia XV) and only non-protoss player Serral. He is facing the relatively unknown ~~Janitor~~ Ouga! The only competitive meeting between these two players was just last month in the SSCLiiga group stages where Serral took a convincing 2 - 0 win.
