lichter's notes: I am currently writing a FAQ for LR threads, to be included at the bottom of each LR. Mostly I want it to address questions regarding LR threads, as well as questions about becoming LR OPs. Please look through the FAQ and PM me with ideas to improve it. TY!
Volunteer! All you have to do is check if there's already a thread for the tournament, or if anyone is scheduled to make the thread. If there isn't a thread and no one is scheduled to do it, you can become the LR OP! We are always looking for new people to help out, especially for WCS AM and EU.
Being the LR thread OP is hard work, but it's also fulfilling. Hundreds, if not thousands, of people check the LR thread every day, and it is a valuable resource to the community. It's a simple way of supporting SC2, the game we all presumably love :p
Now that I've decided to be a LR OP, what do I do? + Show Spoiler +
LRing is tough work, and only a handful of people do it regularly. The most famous ones are Shellshock and The_Templar, but occasionally other people (such as packrat, Yello, etc) do it as well. If no one is available to do it, then there is no LR. Again, we need more volunteers. Anyone who watches games regularly and types really, really fast has qualifications to become an LRer.
All you have to do is write out what happens during the game. It doesn't need to be complete, but it should be a good summary of the entire game. Supply counts, timings, build orders, and major events are typically what receive priority in LRs. You can read more LRs by Shellshock and The_Templar for a better idea of how to do it.
Can I submit a new banner, player photos, or other images? + Show Spoiler +
Yes! We encourage creativity in LR threads, so if you want to submit some fancy stuff and replace the premade ones, go right ahead.
Who do I contact if I have questions about LR threads? + Show Spoiler +
Meh, storm against so many immortal/archon isn't very good imo. You really need it against anything void ray heavy, but not against what Genius has here :-/

PvP you get +3 before anything else usually, so weakening zealots means their tanking is so much worse.

genius forge, builds pylon low ground north of grubby base. cannon low ground, then pylon high ground and 2, 3, 4 cannons. when grubby spots it, builds forge, but its to late around when cyber core finishes. 4 cannons of genius snipe the nexus, before cannons of grubby warp in. gg

Not Genius fault when Grubby is not good enough to survive such things. It just shows what Genius thinks of his opponent. WP Mr. Void ray :D.

1 should be for badly executed strategies, and fails (like Sase vs Happy). I just came here but I assume the cannon rush was well done if it beat Grubby, so I don't see why that would be worth a 1.

1) immediatly send out a probe and build a nexus somewhere. 2) crono the mothership core, send it to the enemys base. His only way to defend his mineralline for a long time is by cannons - and there is always angles to abuse this - you will delay him by a little bit till his stalker is out --> simply ignore the cannons. 3) try to mine as much as possible from your mainbase and build up ur gate/core at ur new nexus --> probeslide.
if you do it correctly, you end up slightly ahead.
there is another responses like buliding a robo in the corner and go all out on the cannons with an immortal, im not too familiar with this and i think its not as good.
Didnt grubby ladder lately at all? :O this happens so often, i also like to do it myself. i even had to deal with this twice on the exact same position on this map :/

We're not all held to your standard. I think we'll see lots of 1's from a short, anticlimatic game to an otherwise great series knocking out a fan favorite.

It was. Didn't you see those meticulously placed cannons, they were placed so the one on the low ground could hold off the probes far enough, but still close enough to the nexus to hit it. This build requires a lot of preparation, both physically and mentally. I'm surprised someone like Genius' caliber could pull it off. I only expected players like PartinG, Rain and maybe First to be able to do this.

this cannonrush is completly standard. if youre not absolutly retarded, you place the cannons correctly. this build appears in 20% of all pvps, and its executed in the EXACT same way, despite it taking 1 more cannon on most maps to reach the nexus.
it wasnt close to being a super good game, it was 1 player messing up greatly and not knowing how to react to a normally executed build (to be fair, there is nothing to do better doing this as well)

Standard? MMMM is standard, ling bling muta is standard. This? This was a masterpiece by Genius. He broke Grubby mentally. I wouldn't be surprised if Grubby fell out 0 - 2. This cannon rush was measured out by Genius, just like Flash measures out his keyboard and monitor before each game.
A masterpiece on Yeonsu!

... pretty easy to detect if (grubby's) probe goes out of his base. And if genius noticed that grubby still stay 20sec after nexus kill then he can think that grubby has a hidden nexus somwhere.

Woot? It was a good strategy given the map and how unexpected it is basically, but you are making it like the second coming of Jesus or something...

the correct response would be:
1) immediatly send out a probe and build a nexus somewhere. 2) crono the mothership core, send it to the enemys base. His only way to defend his mineralline for a long time is by cannons - and there is always angles to abuse this - you will delay him by a little bit till his stalker is out --> simply ignore the cannons. 3) try to mine as much as possible from your mainbase and build up ur gate/core at ur new nexus --> probeslide.
if you do it correctly, you end up slightly ahead.
... pretty easy to detect if (grubby's) probe goes out of his base. And if genius noticed that grubby still stay 20sec after nexus kill then he can think that grubby has a hidden nexus somwhere.
ofc he knows grubby has a hidden nexus. what the hell does this change? Oo
you know that 3 probes kill a building cannon?^^ its not like he can cannonrush the new base, grubby will 100% detect this as its the only thread there is (remember: genius tech is delayed by a lot - very late gateway due to invest 600 minerals into cannonrush before gate).

Lol, yeah. If Genius has anything watching the ramp this immediately doesn't work. If Grubby doesn't get revealed Genius knows it too. Like, that just 100% is not the correct answer.

Haha, my sarcasm detector did not go off immediately, but I lost it at physical preparation .
Edit: Diabolus needs to check his too ^^
haha sry, wasnt quite sure about this one :D but there seem to be a lot of ppl who think this way^^

No it's not, Grubby lost the gateway first before he had any units out. Genius would put up a pylon to cannon the hidden nexus before the main one even dies. Even if, Genius' gateway and cybercore would still be faster. He'll have a ton more money. If Genius just 4gates and ignores photon overcharge he kills every probe.

probes kill cannons when you know they are coming, a GM player is teaching stuff and you just shit on it without reasoning...
12 MM 2medivacs kill of both evos in front of natural. counter lings kills couple of scvs. 13:30 mmm kill off drones and army. mutas hatch.
14: muta kill all scv at 3rd. 90 to 155 supply. 15: Luci kills third with marines couple of mines and mm, mutas slowly getting killed in terra main. gg Luci wins.
I love the mutalisk harras. "Well there is a lot of MMMM in my third/natural.. now if i can just harras enough with this 6 mutalisks , i can still win this!"

Idk man, I think KalWarkov as a GM player knows what he's talking about. It seems plausible too to me. His Mothership Core would've owned Genius' base for a while.

yes, because he waited before building the stalker cuz of building a useless forge. and wtf does ur 2nd sentence even mean? its not like genius knows where grubbys base is immediatly - and even so, you can still deny the 2nd cannonrush without any problems LOL you, sir, have no fucking clue what ur talking about. time to get out of this LR, im getting angry again TT

The reasoning is that Genius only needs to watch the ramp to stop this from happening. Hell, Genius can pylon block every expansion Grubby tries to take if he spots it.
If Grubby gets a stalker out it's a different story but I guess with the gateway in range of the first cannon he figured he wouldn't get it out in time hence the forge

I admit I have done that successfully on ladder when I feel my composition was poorly suited for what my opponent was going. Attempt to take down a tech building you really would rather your opponent uses. Your opponent is then sure to spam that unit with their remaining larvae and resources thinking they are about to need those units. At the pro level I would think players are better at reading the game, but as a casual player nothing beats seeing a ton of eggs fill up with hydras when you know your opponent would never do something that silly normally.

This might actually be true, I think Lucifron would prefer roaches above more banelings. Epic.

That's like when Flash killed Bisu's cybernetics core in the final match of an SKT vs. KT series, and then Bisu reacted by flooding Flash with speedlots (and winning).

Game 1 - Standard game, Grubby plays very reactonary and picks up advantadges all over the game that at the end pay off and he wins after losing his army thanks to mass warpgates. Game 2 - Grubby sets up himself very nicely killing Genius Nexus at the natural, but then overstays, Genius manage to trade efficiently retaining his immortal/colossi, and ends up leading the game and winning later on. Game 3 - GENIUS ACTIVATES BAWS MODE AND CANNON RUSH THE DUTCH.

Game 1: Grubby played a bit better than Genius, so Grubby won. Game 2: Grubby overextended on a nexus snipe and lost his whole army, so Genius won. Game 3: Genius cannoned rush Grubby and Grubby had no idea how to react, so Genius won.
It wasn't that mindblowing ::shrugs:: It seemed to me that Grubby's decision making dictated whether or not he won each game.

Grape actually became good according to Fionn. Also fucking Genius is so hilarious in victory or defeat.
These series is TvP in a nutshell: 1) You can't cheese protoss 2) Predict what protoss is going to do. Not like Genius played bad, he actually played decent. But TvP is not an interesting matchup anymore O_o

8:30 toss army couple of senries zealots and stalkers killing one bunker, goes into main. 9: toss goes down the ramp again. pylon in main kills the bunkers and units. gg, genius wins!
Every time i tune in to watch Lucifron ( and secretly hope that he does good) he somehow manages to play worse. Genius is probably wondering if this was his ro32 group or if hes still sleeping and dreaming..
And if Genius would have lost 3 games in a row to cheese/all-ins people here would be having a contest who could scream loudest that non-koreans are horrible.

Grape is an above average Korean mid, got dumpstered by rapidstar in said RO8 but played very well in the drop down league. Imo the 2nd best player on shield.

Scout 3rd and 4th with a SCV and see pylons going up. Pull more SCVs and target sentries. Its just that terrans outside of korea are lacking.

Lucifron should have easily won game one but that cheese was so poorly executed. Kept building reapers that did absolutely nothing and instead of lifting the factory into the main he just kept it outside for who knows why...if he lifts he has an easy time going through the top of the base into the mineral line.

Then I would agree with you since San didnt qualify Although Showtime might be the hero EU deserves.
Did you watch WW in ATC earlier? =)
But yeah, Genius in Ro16 reminded me that San is stuck in challenger, it hurt.
The results made me pretty happy but I didn't get to watch it because I have class during ATC this semester. I just wish San could have played better in the up and down group. He definitely didn't play his best but that's what you need to do if you want to advance. Maybe next season :/

What I talked about was more related to design, not balance. So yeah, nice oversimplification and insight to what I said. And no, I don't play sc2 anymore. Just spectate.

Random scv scout timing yo.
I feel on this map you need a designated scout SCV. The distance from main to 3rd is just so small.

Well I don't doubt genius has the money in savings. It's just most progamers do not want to fly to events on their own dime.
Assuming Genius still wants a foreigner team, then he may as well invest his own money to go to WCS EU and try to make contact and get a dialogue going.

Yeah I agree with myself, colossi just aren't a good transition in this stage of the game. None of the colossi paid for their cost, except maybe the one who killed all those lings trapped in forcefields (and they would have died to non-colossi too).

the best part about starbuck play is how he just keeps baiting FFs, grubby just keeps failing his forcefields, only catching a roach and hydra for 5 or 6 FFs. FF suddenly feels like a very well designed spell in this game lol
Not surprise at all. Grubby got the the best chance to get the most WCS points along with naniwa. He never wins a thing even thought getting sent to every tournament.

That was a really tense game, right from the moment that Grubby moved into position over the high ground near Starbucks third. I have a feeling Yeonsu could be around for a while if it keeps making games like that.

I remember there was that one PartinG vs Sniper game in his i-hate-fans run where PartinG warned about doing soul train and sniper DID bait the FFs.

Hey guys it's hatertime!
That seemed to be pretty objective; the truth hurts o.O Although I forget if Grubby has actually never won anything in SC2 or if he won a tournament or two.

ro16 GSL 2012 season 5. He broke Parting's soul. I remember because a day later, Tastosis were hailing Parting as the best player in the world.

We don't say his name openly around here.

Not too long ago, he made Ro4 WCS EU by beating MVP. W T F
And there are almost no heavy invite tournaments left besides Homestory Cup. Dreamhack is open, IEM qualifier (where Grubby does a very good job qualifying for).

gold league scrub here and all, but i've wondered at times if when zerg takes a big lead like this and terran starts massing widow mine defense at the front it wouldn't be worth researching drop tech and going for a big doom drop into the main? considering how we've seen terrans make some crazy comebacks turtling with mules and mines, would this be a viable thing at high levels?

just from personal experience, ive had games where I lost all my scvs to bane/ling all ins or something and then mules bring me back into the game to win it.
Starbuck looks really shaky. I don't think he has much of a chance in a macro game and I doubt Lucifron will die to a roach bane all in twice in a bo3. Lucifron 2-1 Starbuck!

Still, 20 scv's, and still capable of fighting due to macro mechanics of Terran. But honestly, Starbuck played badly to end this game. There was no need of Mutas, at all. Just bane speed, +1+1 and go full roach bane Hyun style.. He was just playing bad. And Lucifron just got hard countered due to self confidence and lack of scout.

Lategame in modern TvZ is more mutas and more banes instead of ultras. Actually i believe StarBuck once whined that ultras suck in TvZ :3
Lucifron never disappoints. Oh wait, he always does. But seriously, no offence to Starbuck, but going out in ro32 vs him would be a new low for Lucifron..

yeah that's part of why i think hive tech spine buff would be nice... you would actually be able to go out on the map with an ultra/infestor/brood lord ball without having all your tech and bases just massacred by tiny drops
not saying anything is OP, it would just open up a different playstyle for zerg, and i think most would agree more variety is a good thing

How small of a chance did Starbuck have in g2 at the end? About 0.0000000000000000000000000001%. In order to win he needed Lucifron to fall out of his chair have the casters go blind and the observor not pause when it was obvious Lucifron had afk'ed.
What all-in is good at Frost? I think ling runbys trickery won't work against Luci this time now IMO. Maybe simply midgame ling-bane bust? StarBucks needs to have good injects for this though.

Roach bane works fine if you are willing to gamble.
Cheese works when it is not expected, does not it?

So Lucifron must win a championship to get rid of the law. I would say thats impossible but if bomber can do it...
Bomber at least won 2 premier tournaments before :D
That was so long ago, it doesnt count! Otherwise we would ruin all the fun and puns that the law of bomber gave us..^^
Law of Bomber had it's birth in games against ByuN, everyone knows that.
I will never understand how you can win the first 2 games in dominating fashion and then completly fall apart. But Bomber isnt the only one to do that.. Life basicly needs his opponent to go up 2 or 3 games ^^

Well Europes chance for a non-all-korean blizzcon died when Naniwa got eliminated. Now the question is, if "insert favourite korean player here" makes it to blizzcon

Every english caster hypes lucifron every time he plays and every tournament he enters. That above poster is right. Lucifron is the most overrated player in the scene and is all hype.
You know how far back the lucifron hype train goes? All the way back to when lucifron played DRG in one of those smaller dreamhacks. So many casters and people were like lucifron is going to beat DRG and this was during DRG's peak vs terran. DRG went on to smash lucifron like he was nothing and won that dreamhack.

Not really, Lucifron is probably the best foreign terran and TvZ macro games are somewhat terran favoured. Starbuck was clearly the underdog
I'm impressed with Starbuck. I saw some Korean-like skills in his play... baiting widow mines effectively, burrowed banes in combat, smart tech switches like adding mutas at the end there. The only thing I didn't like was his 1-base roach.

Demuslim is a great player but has serious nerve issues. Its kinda sad honestly.

50 followers? it was at 250 when I clicked follow, and 276 a few seconds later, and 376 a few seconds later (probably 500+ when this is posted). Seems like a cool guy, I'll definately cheer for him in Ro16.

And yes Demu matches this description quite a bit better... he has not done anything relevant in like forever. But maybe being a successful streamer accounts for "relevant" in which case it's my bad.

It has been rather silent on that front lately though. Majors hype/win ratio is also quite something.

Major - "He's good cuz he trains in Korea!!"
None of those players get hyped as someone who could win a tournament like lucifron does though. That's the difference in hype. Every tournament lucifron enters, the casters gush about how he could win it. Every time he fails offline, they just repeat that same hype at the next tourney, only for him to fail again.

too true major and illusion can beat people they have proven that but not even I would bill them as a favorite of a tournament and I am a fan of both. so I don't at all consider them over hyped at all. i have never seen them mentioned as a favorite and they shouldn't be but they absolutely are players that can potentially beat just about anyone if they are on point.
lucifron on the other hand..... it's gotten so annoying I wouldn't have any problems with him if he was in the same hype level as illusion or major but he's hyped as so much better with accomplishing so much less.

At that point, i was just throwing the overrated label freely because that's what canuck was doing. Lucifron had a good run on WCS S1, stopped by forGG allmighty TvT and the ATC when he was on K3. Grubby had last season, losing to the champion. Both of them are players that the casters will say "that maybe this is their tournament", but never quite get to win it. As simple as that.
Or if you want to argue about it, you can just check player ratings like aligulac (if you can obviously read between lines about the different pools where the points are substracted). Most foreigners get really overhyped if we compare them to their korean counterparts. That's obvious.

how did anything I say relate to skill at all? we are talking about hype. although i'd love to see illusion or major vs lucifron it would perhaps help me to see that not all of his hype is bullcrap or perhaps it would prove once again that European arrogance is mostly unfounded.

too true major and illusion can beat people they have proven that but not even I would bill them as a favorite of a tournament and I am a fan of both. so I don't at all consider them over hyped at all. i have never seen them mentioned as a favorite and they shouldn't be but they absolutely are players that can potentially beat just about anyone if they are on point.
lucifron on the other hand..... it's gotten so annoying I wouldn't have any problems with him if he was in the same hype level as illusion or major but he's hyped as so much better with accomplishing so much less.
Wait, did you just say, that LucifroN has achieved less than major or Illusion?
oh your right he's achieved the title of funniest lose ever when he lost a reaper to probes by attacking the rocks..... he should of retired in shame from such a fail and never been mentioned seriously again if there was justice in this world. no seriously when has he accomplished anything at all ever?
he's the second highest earning foreign Terran, right behind Thorzain, who basically isn't a player anymore.
and yet he hasn't ever won anything at all ever not anything with anyone of importance atleast again name something he's done.
When's the last time ANY foreign Terran has won something? The race is just not suiting for foreigners. Never has been.

Do you actually believe Major and Illusion are better than Lucifron? Or is that just NA bias?
how did anything I say relate to skill at all? we are talking about hype. although i'd love to see illusion or major vs lucifron it would perhaps help me to see that not all of his hype is bullcrap or perhaps it would prove once again that European arrogance is mostly unfounded.
For sure he is overhyped but skillwise the difference is pretty clear to anyone with eyes

Ladies and gentleman this is not the next Redbull Invitational.. this is the players who dropped out of WCS EU Premier. It may not help the HYPE but I for one love new faces working their way up.
That's a great list but noname definitely takes the thunder out of it.

Ok I don't want to get involved too heavily but I will say he placed third at WCS EU 2012 at the height of the "OMG Zerg imba" so I would say that is pretty decent. I agree though, casters hype him too much for his skill level.

No? I don't remember either of them winning anything major either. Lucifron at least has some decent tournament placings and more 1st place finishes in the minor tournaments from what I can see. He's even done better in his respective region. Both Illusion and Major have yet to make it past a ro32 in WCS.

Ok, since you ask: 4-0 in both group stages in WCS EU Season 1, including 2-0 Mvp offline (ro8 finish) Only player, who is able to defeat Stardust in DH Summer (ro8 finish) Defeating 2 koreans (including Code-S player (at that time) YugiOh) at DH Valencia ( top 6 finish, qualified for DH Winter) 3rd in WCS Europe in 2012 Total of 10 ro16 finishes at Premier tournaments.
Now lets look at Illusion: exactly 1 ro16 finish in premier tournaments. That was IEM Sao Paolo, which coincedently had 16 players, which included 8 american qualifiers. 2nd place at "Ye Olde map tournament" (a tourney, which played old (and not neccessarily balanced) maps for fun. Including Steppes of War. Also 2nd place at ONOG, where he for some reason was the only second place group finisher, who played another 2nd place finisher. He defeated Boyo, Destiny and iNcontoL to make the top 4, where he lost to Stephano, defeated Catz and then lost to Kas, because Stephano decided to rather sleep than playing the tournament.
MajOr: Exactly 1 ro16 finish in Premier tournaments in TSL 4. He beat Hyun there, which is worth smth., but from what I heard, the series was not that good and he got 3-0ed by johnnyrecco directly after that. Also he won A few bigger tournaments in Latin America, but the competition there was pretty much on Killer.

How does this even makes sence? Both of them are foreign terrans too and between them (talking about achievments, not current skill) and LucifroN there are still Happy, Naama, Brat_OK, GoOdy, Strelok, ClouD, Dayshi, QXC, Fenix, BeastyQT, Demuslim, Tarson and probably a few more, that I am forgetting at the moment (With Jinro, ThorZaiN,Sjow and Kas ahead of both).
Edit: Morrow. Still think of him as Zerg, because he was, when I started watching Starcraft. But technically his GC win was with terran as well. Edit2: Moved Sjow to the "ahead of both"-section. Almost forgot, how consistently high he used to place in WoL.
i wanna hit grubby and luci damn so f...... i mean i think its cool starbuck came trough, and i rly like genius, but this two was europas last hope of top16 now only if scarlett plays there is a chance of a non korean in the top16

The Lucifron hype train was from back in WoL. Sure he was good, but by now we can accept that he'll just be another example of a foreign Terran that had potential but could never string together enough wins to become a championship contender. :\

I was expecting something among the lines of "Oh thank you, Xoronius, that you expanded my horizon and increased my wisdom". Apperently I was wrong.
So, what my previous post was consisting of were facts about the achievments in premier tournaments. MajOr has exactly once reached the ro16 of a premier tournament. That is a fact. Everyone can look it up on LP. Noone can deny that. Illusion has exactly once reached the ro16 of a premier tournament. That is a fact. Everyone can look it up on LP. Noone can deny that. LucifroN has reached 10 ro16 in his career. That is 10 tournaments runs equal to the best, Illusion or MajOr has ever accomplished. That is a fact. Everyone can look it up on LP (Since I am nice, I´ll write it down here: WCS Europe 2012, DH Valencia 2012, WCS World 2012, IEM Singapore 2012, IEM Katowice 2013, WCS Europe S1, DH Summer 2013, WCS Europe S2, DH Valencia 2013, ASUS ROG Summer 2013) . Noone can deny that.
Your response to a post of FACTS is, that you "should´nt keep biting". This leaves 3 options: 1. You are a troll 2. You know, that you are wrong, but want to save face, because noone admitts, that he is wrong on the internet. 3. You still assume, that you are right, because LucifroN never won a premier - the fact neither Illusion nor MajOr have ever won either and that Luci has made it further then them 6 times for some weird reason does´nt count. ( A long time ago, Husky convinced a large group of people, that Spanishiwa would be a top foreign zerg- which he was quite obviously not)
So, let´s just ignore the premier tournament results and talk about actual tournaments wins: LucifroN The Gathering Easter: 13k€ prize-pool with ThorZaiN, NightEnD, Sjow, Brat_Ok, Grubby, Bischu, MorroW and Snute attending. IPL D.I.C.E. Showdown: 10k Prize-pool, destroying Scarlett 3-0 in the final Pokerstrategy.com League: 9k Prize-pool 9 player round robin against Kas, Snute, Titan, Socke, Grubby, Sheth, MorroW and SeleCT
So please name one tournament win of either MajOr or Illusion, which comes even slightly close to those (and the Premier results) or give any actual arguments instead of just calling me a troll, because otherwise your position in this discussion seems pretty weak.
yeah, lucifron is just fine, he's getting better at a similar pace with other pros and holding his own, and making pretty deep runs. This is disconnected from him having a breakout result, which could take a looong time to come or maybe not even happen. its not a big deal. people shouldn't be all or nothing on pros; of course hype is hype but lucifron is still really fucking good, he's still competitive, there is no doubt, thats all that matters.
im glad pros disregard the garbage most people spew from their nooblet hands.

I really shouldn't keep biting but I look at your list of lucifron's achievements and see a whole heck of nothing.
10x nothing is still nothing this conversation bores me which is why I shouldn't keep responding but i guess I feel the need for the last word so sure I am a troll in that respect. I feel like illusion and major have accomplished a lot more than lucifron because regardless of actual placing I have seen them beat far better opponents and seen lucifron lose to far worse ones. perhaps I haven't seen enough of lucifron but he beat a yugioh who is terrible at tvz and that's the only worthy opponent I can remember him ever beating.

actually it seems like I suddenly recall him beating taeja at some point so I take some of what I said back he's more decent than I gave him credit for and maybe he is better than illusion/major I still lack enough info to tell for sure.

Mvp, PartinG, Oz, Stardust, Hyun, MMA, HerO, Taeja, Ryung, pretty much every top foreigner... The list is on Aligulac. After checking both Illusions and MajOrs list, I still see LucifroN far ahead. Having to have the last word does not make you a troll, it is pretty common in online discussions, I do it as well. Maybe you do just catch the wrong matches of him and got to your opinion this way, but objectively his results are just in another league.
I like how Mvp is at the top of your list, but I do remember LucifroN winning because of one reason: Hellbats.
Afterwards, Mvp commented that he had to see what Hellbats could do with his own eyes, so he made minimal defense intentionally. Then, he took what he learned and almost beat INnoVation. *shrugs*
Are you serious? Someone says, LucifroNs results are equal to MajOr and Illusion. I give his Premier tournament results to clarify that mistake. He says ro16/8 does not mean anything ("10x 0 = 0"). I give Major LAN´s he won. I get to hear, that it is not about results, but about who you beat. I give a list of players, which is bigger thhan MajOrs/Illusions and now you are telling me that it is because of Hellbats? You are nit-picking about the imbalance in a mirror match-up at the 4th level of a discussion, which should have never gone beyond the first.

ok i'll acknowledge your point there and merely point out that while he's beaten better opponents he also has a tendacy to lose to far worse opponents too. including losing a reaper to probes with tons of room to move about with. the caster can say it happens all he wants but I gareentee that in an event with him facing elimination and literally nothing else to focus on neither major or illusion would ever make that mistake. I can't imagine a pro ever making that mistake i hate to continue to harp on that particular point but it highlights lucifron's short comings so very well. and more to the point he always has so much hype despite his mistakes like that being fairly typical of his tournament runs.

he's the second highest earning foreign Terran, right behind Thorzain, who basically isn't a player anymore.
and yet he hasn't ever won anything at all ever not anything with anyone of importance atleast again name something he's done.
When's the last time ANY foreign Terran has won something? The race is just not suiting for foreigners. Never has been.
so he's achieved less than major and possibly illusion then. why was my comment questioned again hell if I know I am bored with this conversation.
Umm no??? He's achieved WAY more than either of those two and is significantly better than both as well. Illusion has no achievements at all. if anyone is all hype and no substance, its illusion. Maybe look at Wikipedia instead of randomly bashing someone.

too true major and illusion can beat people they have proven that but not even I would bill them as a favorite of a tournament and I am a fan of both. so I don't at all consider them over hyped at all. i have never seen them mentioned as a favorite and they shouldn't be but they absolutely are players that can potentially beat just about anyone if they are on point.
lucifron on the other hand..... it's gotten so annoying I wouldn't have any problems with him if he was in the same hype level as illusion or major but he's hyped as so much better with accomplishing so much less.
Never has been.
so he's achieved less than major and possibly illusion then. why was my comment questioned again hell if I know I am bored with this conversation.
Umm no??? He's achieved WAY more than either of those two and is significantly better than both as well. Illusion has no achievements at all. if anyone is all hype and no substance, its illusion. Maybe look at Wikipedia instead of randomly bashing someone.
he achieved less than major and illusion? wtf? you should get ur tournemnt results right. he even won the IPL Dice with a 5-1 (or 6-1?) mapscore over scarlett at the end of WoL. yes, he seems on the downfall a bit in the past month, losing twice to babyknight and now in this group where he shouldve probably topped or at least went #2, but major and illusion achieved literally nothing compared to him oO
