Best of 1 in all rounds until the Round of 16 players is reached in Winner Bracket and Ro16 B in Loser Bracket. At round of 16 and higher is a Best of 3. Once the Grand Final is reached the matches end, and the 2 players then move to Stage 2.

In a Best of 1, Best of 3 and Best of 5 a map veto (removal and pick) system is used. The high seeded player(seeds can be found at round 1 on the grid page) decides who starts. Players take it in turn removing maps until only one remains in a best of 1 or until only 3 maps remain in a best of 3 or until 5 maps remain in a Best of 5. Then each player picks a map. Maps are played in order they are picked. The remaining map is played last.

Found the relevant SC2SEA thread, states Zepph may cast <3
http://www.sc2sea.com/showthread.php?p=156918#post156918

However and naturally.. having to go against korea and china in asia stage 3 may turn some off

And to answer Rossi maybe he reads it here:
Is it correct that these qualifiers are to qualify for the Asia qualifier which includes Korea and China?
> correct
Or does winning Stage 2 guarantee you a spot in New York
> nope sorry

PS: checkin link on sc2sea thread is wrong

He did, but lost / did not qualify!

Kinda retarded, that SEA players have to play against Koreans. Think they would deserve one extra spot to NY.

One hopes that for IEM Singapore our qualifier is more favourable.

That's a nice though except I now have to play in the Asia qualifier.

It has innovation in it.
