All players need to join us in the battle.net chat channel "Lake Charles Scion" at 7:30 Central US Time to check in. (Anyone else who wants to come visit is welcome to join us also, just please don't clutter the channel too much, we have a lot of games to get played.) At that time, each group will be assigned a referee who will administer that group's qualifier. Each group's qualifier will be played out linearly, one match at a time, and all eight groups will be playing simultaneously. Each referee will create a party with the group members and the first game between Group Member #1 and Group Member #4 will begin at 8:00PM. The rest of the group can observe the games if desired. (Each player in each group will play one game before anyone plays a second game, so everyone will have equal opportunity to observe their future opponents.) The games will proceed as detailed in the attached graphic. ![]() Details for Round 2 qualifiers will be finalized after the advancing players have all been contacted and confirmed for participation and will be announced tomorrow morning. Any player who plays in Friday's qualifying round but no-shows for Saturday's Round 2 will be replaced by the #3 finisher in their Round 1 Group. Any player who has a scheduling conflict for either round should contact their opponent and Jeremy at esports@tarverautomotive.com. Decision to reschedule any qualifying match to accommodate a player's schedule will be at the discretion of the group's referee and the opponent. Also, players should refer to the qualifier email that was sent out last night to confirm who their opponent is. The graphic that is being circulated has been changed several times due to error corrections. The correct matchups are the ones from the email. I'll go ahead and copy/paste them here: Group A: Apocalypse, WarreN, Hunterxx, Jellyfish Group B: MaSsan, Siphonn, Clash, HellsChild Group C: Ruff, Maverick, SpOiL, BlazeMost Group D: Sasquatch, Hiei, HydraWang, esteca Group E: Has, EgJaeD, Petraeus, OceanStorm Group F: Hui, DreamKiller, Mudkip, FrayaMonsteR Group G: Slam, Oobios, SPeCiaLiST, ensignlee Group H: Sage, ErEvilSD, Willy, Smaug

Players and fans of the Lake Charles Scion e-Sports Thanksgiving Open, we have some big announcements to make about the tournament. First of all, thanks for everyone's participation. We had a great turnout and a smooth qualifier event tonight. After many hours of deliberation we have had to make some tough decisions. Unfortunately, we have had some high level players withdraw. Among others, the most noteworthy is the Taiwanese team Yoe Flash Wolves, apparently as a result of a scheduling conflict. We are very disappointed to lose them as we were very much looking forward to seeing these players. This has vacated one invitation spot. We have decided to offer this invite to American Zerg player Sasquatch, representing team Root. This has also also left some vacancies in our Ro16 qualifier. We attempted to find a way to extend another opportunity to some players who were unable to attend the Ro32 qualifier because of scheduling, or to the players who lost out in the Ro32. However, we were unable to arrive at a clear solution that would provide an opportunity to include more players without being unfair to the players who played and won their way into the 2nd Qualifying Round. This has led us to reduce the field of players in the 2nd round to twelve. These players will be separated into groups of three, which will be played out exactly as the groups in the Ro32, except with one Grandmaster in each group receiving a bye. Out of each group of three, two players will advance to the live event. These groups will be published tomorrow morning by 10:00AM. All players who played in the Ro32 and lost will be automatically entered as alternates should any other player no-show or withdraw from the Round 2 qualifier. No player who no-showed or was disqualified from the Round 1 qualifier will be considered as an alternate in Round 2. We are extremely excited about the participation and interest we have had so far in this event. Many thanks to everyone who has been involved, and best of luck to all the players participating in Round 2 of the qualifiers tomorrow.
