Swagger tries a 7gate attack, but all (like 10) of his proxy pylons get found while building and his probes never survive. He just goes with it and fails. Hilarious.
MKP goes quick 3cc after hellions and cloaked banshee and doesn't scout. RorO decides to roachbane all in, but forgets to build banes despite having the baneling nest. He gets stuck on the ramp despite MKP having no units at home. He kills 20 SCVs but nothing else, and then loses 20 drones on the hellion counter. Then he just dies eventually to biomine.
3 hatch before pool versus forge first but a quick third base into double stargate. Game pretty standard after the openings, but Dear just picks Curious apart with multiple attacks and multitask. Storms rip all of Curious' attempts at attacks and he taps out after a last swing.
WTF. Early robo, late warpgate, late gates. RorO knocks at SangHo's door when he has 2 immortals, a warp prism, a mamacore and nothing else. He repels it but his base is scouted and the YOLOSWAGtrain rolls. It's an immortal zealot all in? No sentries nor stalkers? WTF. RorO rolls over and dies. Huh.
Reactored reapers versus proxy gate. MKP holds the initial attack, but Dear throws down 3 additional gates. MKP holds again and is clearly ahead, but then gets overconfident and salvages a bunker at the ramp for some reason. Dear then just keeps attacking, and MKP bleeds slowly and dies without the bunker. Terrible throw.
10pool baneling by RorO vs hatch first from Curious. Gets a little dicey but Curious holds. RorO gets speed and catches a lot of lings in front of his base, but with queens, evo chamber block and spine crawlers, Curious holds despite falling to an even worker count. RorO ggs after a last attempt because he has no hatch, no production, and no way to get in.
Swagger thinks his swag can pull off a one gate nexus, into robo and 2 gateways. Dear disagrees, and builds a stargate and 2 additional gates after seeing it. He builds oracles instead of voidrays, and with his gateway units, crushes SangHo. gg.
2 base timing by MKP punishes Curious. Curious just falls apart despite getting to mutas without it being scouted, and he can't survive MKP's constant attacks.
Fairly standard game with MKP being aggressive. SangHo overbuilds colossi and also has templar, and it evaporates MKP's army. Nothing MKP can rally can stop SangHo's death push. gg
10pool by Curious, but SangHo decides to gateway expand. He holds it though it gets a little close. Lings get in but do nothing. SangHo decides to do the same Swag Train. Curious knows. He builds roaches. And then dies??? WTF

GSL Code S is the name of the tournament hosted by GomTV. OSL is hosted by OnGameNet. You have to win 10 GSL Code S in a row to win. Winning 9 GSL Code S and an OSL doesn't count because guess what, OSL is not GSL Code S.
You might not like it but that's how GomTV set their criteria so don't complain to us.

Who cares about what he has done compare to Nestea, Nestea award is "Participate In 10 consecutive code S", not some other vague definition which may or may not suggest someone as more deserving. It's a "Yes"/"No" question and not something that's debated. If you want a reward for "consistency" or "participate in 10 straight premier league seasons", then create such an award but don't make Nestea award something it's not and never meant to be.

Bad analogy it would be more like:

Leenock played in GOMs up and down. Qualified to Code S. And then ended up in OSL.
It's a GOMTV award for consistent appearances in a GOMTV run tournament.

There was a time when this group would almost seem like a walkover for MKP, but the way he has been playing lately...makes me nervous. Hopefully he has familiarized himself with bio/mine TvZ and we can see something great. I think Curious and Roro should beat SangHo and Dear; so, those TvZ games are going to be important.

I think in the end what killed curious was that he threw away that many units at Dear's third. He just didnt have the numbers back home to defend from Dear's own attack which at point had him down to only a single functioning hatchery.
i think curious tried to cover all his bases with that semi-big roach attack while taking a fourth. i guess he thought he could afford on the back of his greedy opening. after his attack fell short dear easily dispatched him. disappoint!
edit: i hope dear pulls out the same style vs roro, interesting to see how roro will cope.

yeah that definitely didn't help. i think he overbuilt roaches in that attack, as well. curious killed all of dear's ground army with his force that was already in position to attack, the reason dear was even ready to defend was curious had a bunch of roaches in front of his natural, tipping dear off. if those roaches at the natural had been upgrades and tech, might not have lost all his shit to zealots lol

meh, it's more because some players excel in infestor usage. a lot of the T/P pre hive push would kill zerg who aren't amazing at using infestors.

This is why Terrans need the ability to expand inside their base. If MKP took an expansion on the ground - it would have been shut down hard - even if he didn't salvage his bunker.

curious shot himself in the foot when he made mutas. making the spire is... okayish the mutas were definitely not okay after everything he scouted. he should have just gone into double evo and a macro hatch when he saw the barracks pressure and late gases.
also didnt help he flew his tiny muta flock through the middle where the watchtowers saw them

In a world of bio/mine, MKP should be unbeatable in TvZ. That is a composition almost custom made for his skill set. He was playing (and winning) with bio/hellion in WoL, already.

this. His bio got stuck fight the 6 colossi ad eating a lot of damage while the vikings were all the way to the left getting targetted by colossi. That and he needed more vikings imo.

It was late because storms were out but I could see him winning that fight with better positioning.

swagger i think did a less than optimal transition. he went late charge > blink > templar instead of going charge > right into templar or at least blink > charge > templar. he basically gave MKP a huge window to crush with critical viking count before storm finished researching.
swagger's saving grace was that he kept building colossus so he had like 6, but MKP should have been able to out position that army with vikings, and drops. but MKP just derped and lost all his vikings while only killing like one colossus. then he missed the timing to go in before storm finished researching, so he just walked into a wall of forcefields, time warps and storms.

i don't think mkp has the money/motivation to do even that. hanging around in code A making a few hundred might actually be more money than a top8 in europe or something which is probably the best he can do considering current skill + how many protosses there are overseas

What ? Ok he used his swag train build twice, but this build is so awesome that he had no reason not to. All the other builds were different and unusual.
Avilo has been saying for months now (since HotS release) that 10 gate is difficult to stop if you don't know it's coming and don't already have the right build that will counter it.

It won't work against Innovation and that's the point you can criticize Swagger.
Nothing really works vs Bogus anyway. Swagger's weird builds might have a few percent of chances to take him off guard at least. More chances than a standard play from a standard level korean GM imo.

Maru actually showed that original and cheesy builds are the most likely to work on Bogus. At least for now. Still it doesn't mean it will work too often though.

Yeah thx Oh I was looking at this GSL october 2011, I didn't remember but he actually got to RO16 through a group with DRG, Taeja and Polt where the 2 terrans were eliminated, in a period when terrans were really favored. I know Sangho can be really bad sometimes, but when he plays well like today he's actually quite scary.

Went through Liquipedia, and as far as I can tell only the GSL Open Season 1 of 2010 had a Protoss plurality :O The GSL World Championship in 2011 that Mvp won was 6P 4T 6Z. As for pure Code S, it seems Protoss was never the most represented.
Even this season doesn't guarantee that just yet, the distribution being 10P 10T 8Z with 4 players to go.
