Well I figured since he only beat Koreans to win it, but I see your point

It just doesn't work or not on pro-level if you are not a billion times better and can play from behind. You have to pick some stuff you want to defend but defending against special stuff and all of it, cannot happen. Getting a turret will give a bit of safety against widowmine drops and banshees, its not a coin toss but a smart adjustment to his build. If no banshee or widowmine drops occur, he'll be a bit behind or even as he took his expansion, but no coin toss by any means. Very solid all around (just what you wanted) Okay i'll revert my earlier statement, your arguement seems fair

Maru went for early game builds because he felt that was the best way to beat innovation, not because he knows his micro is better. Micro doesn't matter when you get out build ordered and out mindgamed.

Very solid all around (just what you wanted) I think the builds aren't the problem, He just has a really problem adapting properly, as the cancelled tank showed and continuous hellion building in game 1. His early game denfense is not as good as his mid-late game. And I'm really happy to see Maru prepared and is exploiting that.
