If I recall he just pulled it off with his ridiculous hellbat drop spamming. If that's the case, then maybe bomber didn't want a TvT like everyone would have assumed (with the hellbat nerf)? With what I've seen, StarTale Terrans are pretty damn awesome. I might be wrong, but their builds had the biggest influence on the meta-game of HotS so far.
Sound was the guy who first showed the hellbat drop in TvT(against Jjakji), from where it kinda spread to the other match-ups and regions, and Bomber had the most creative builds to counter hellbats.
Bomber first showed the reaper-expand opening in TvP(against Creator) in a televised match, also a number of tiny things in TvZ that are nowadays are considered normal.
Correct me if I'm wrong, though.

Well, what can I say, I'm just a poor viewer who didn't get to play the beta, so I just concluded from the way Creator and Jjakji got crushed that they didn't know how those builds worked. Did I just overestimate those players? I guess so.

Just watched the replay. Bomber stomped Bogus. The series wasn't even close. Without the Hellbat's Bogus needs to learn some legit TvT.
|
bomber 2-0'd innovation.
at least his TvT seems to be out-of-the-ordinary good.

rain very good draw, should make it to the finals. but also not too sad if bomber wins the semis

Totally agree with opterown, hellbat drops and reaper openings have been around since beta and opterown's just trying to clarify that for you.

Calm down, people! We do not want to get overhyped with Bomber. He played today better than Inno, but I would say Bogus wanted to lose to meet Soulkey in 1/8. Btw, what song was played between 1st and 2nd games (female vokal)? Thanks in advance!

The match wasn't terribly important, I'm sure Innovation did not give his best.

By that logic, you should also be sure that Bomber didn't give his best either. I guess you could make an argument that Innovation wanted to meet SK as soon as possible to get revenge, but I find that kind of unlikely.

I agree to a certain extend about the Bogus vs. Bomber game. But you all must remember sport/StarCraft is a funny old game, were a bit of confidence can change everything. I'm sure Bomber got some confidence out of that match and will help him come next round.
