This was cool. Obviously needs a bit of polish but as a first day I liked it. I might make it my "vods" league because as a UKer I shouldn't really be awake right now.

Really disappointed in Hero. His play seemed scattered and not focused. He is the ace of EGTL, I think he needs to step it up for these team leagues and not embarass TL.
Don't mind me

He was jetlagged... The games were played the day he got back to Korea from WCS America Ro16... If you don't believe me watch the first three minutes of HerO vs. Kane, they have a discussion about it.

Whats the VOD situation? day9's channel says subscribers-only.

Well sorry but how on earth can a team be allowed to field the same player in a team vs team game....Root roster is much bigger than just 5 players....Catz himself can still play at a decent level ffs, so stupid.

I hate when things like this happens, it's like someone being able to take a penalty twice in a penalty shoot out in football or sub being subbed being subbed. It just doesn't happen because it is unfair and not how a "team" game works ;_; Especially when the team in question has a roster of 11....

And im not bitching because of the result, fair play to Root for beating TL thats a very good result, but an 11man roster had to field a guy twice :S vs TL who have a 7 man roster with 1 currently AWOL due to his wrist issues, so technically a 6man team who are all in Korea (or the majority) and still managed to field 6 different players ;_;

Indeed another point from Malin, not only was it a player playing twice, it was arguably ROOTs best player playing twice "/

It seems like a very weird decision indeed. Most teams should have deep enough rosters to field 4 players, if not they can take on a mercenary or two like they used to in the past. The way it is, teams can abuse it by basically planning to send their best player twice no matter what.

Anyway, I'm happy to see that Proleague format is catching on. So much easier to watch than all those BO3-per-set team leagues we had in the past.

So sad I missed this! Looked for vods, but apparently Day9's vods are closed to non-subscribers. I understand doing that as a way to monetize Twitch vods (ala itmejp), but I find it incredibly annoying for a tourney. How am I supposed to catch up when the vods are behind a paywall on Day9's twitch, and EGMCSL's vods were week's behind last go around.

SO frustrating. I'm avoiding all spoilers 'til then, but I gotta say that the "revive" rule is weird. I never liked it in Take's team league, and I don't like it here.

Oh well, hopefully the games are as good as I've been hearing.

sadly not there yet, which is a shame. not that there is an extreme time frame on VOD interests,there still is one with so much content/series/tourneys going on these days i and i guess alot of other third shifters would love to watch the previous days event when they get home. i know its the first match but i hope they plan it better in the future with the subscriber only mode on day9s stream.

I agree that the rule with multiple revives is awful, but you can't blame ROOT for playing to win. Shame on TL for not fielding Taeja twice, along with Hero.

If the rule was created to allow teams with small rosters to compete, I'd much rather just have a bo5 with no revives.
