I think the rationale is that otherwise, if Naniwa wins the series 2-1, he'll have a total score of 2-3 against Polt, but still will advance over Polt, where Polt overall will have a winning record against everyone that he has played in the entire tournament. It makes the semi's less fun for sure, but I'm not sure I hate it with the fervor everyone else seems to. | ||
