idk hellokitty didnt look any better in his series although I guess I can give him the benefit of the doubt for playing TaeJa. It looks like whoever comes out in 2nd will probably be the weakest player in premier for season 2.

When you click the arrow to open up the drop down menu, there should be a little pin in the bottom right. if you click it, it should keep your drop down menu open at all times. looks like a thumbtack

LOL it was almost literally invisible on my work monitor at the angle I was looking at it, such low contrast thanks!
Ouch, taeja being super dominant. I hope hellokitty doesn't end up advancing haha. Perhaps neeb or maker will be able to stop him when we get around to those games.
Man, you could tell just from his marine splitting and precise scans for widow mines who had a leg up in that last game. Really good precision just made that game spiral out of control.
Neeb seems to be playing much better than in the first game, but his drops aren't really working out. ...and as I was typing this, he actually did some damage with his drop, so never mind. ^^

game 1 Hellokitty lost his main nexus to a doom drop then taeja sent his reinforcements to the 3rd to kill the nexus on whirlwind. then taeja wins the next fight.
game 2 taeja pretty much wins with his first widow mine, a medivac, and a few marines
wasnt paying that much attention in game 1 of this series

full foreigner...scans army of Taeja with huge lead and moves all units back to 3rd...I think Neeb overestimated and thought that Taeja must've had another army somewhere hiding...when in fact he had nothing because he was trying to transition and would've just died...
And then the vikings...and then the lack of proper response immediately when mass air revealed
Heheheh, Neeb dropping mules in response to Taeja's mules!
Also, does Axeltoss actually still play the game at some level? It seems like he's getting worse and worse with his commentary. That fight on Taeja's third was pretty one-sided, but he said that Neeb had so many tanks that it didn't matter...
Good game by neeb other than the mistake with the vikings and not finding out about Taeja's tech switch until too late. He has nothing to be ashamed of though, he's a young guy and he put up a much better fight against Taeja in that game than lots of pro's could.
I think overall neeb has looked like the second best player in the group. I think he should be able to get out. I hadnt heard about him until right before WCS so it's good to see some newer talent rising up.

Oh he's talented alright.
But as always, what separates talented up-and-comers from the top pros is on-the-spot decision making and reaction. He had set himself up really well for the later stages but couldn't hold onto his lead; meanwhile TaeJa saw the opportunity and exploited it as best he could to take back the lead and ultimately the victory.
With more experience and practice, neeb could go far.

2 starports wasn't quite enough at that point anyway, ravens or no ravens. When your opponent is cranking tempests from 3 stargates, you might want to focus less on thors and more on air.
I wonder why most of the contenders in WCS America get stomped by Koreans - such a baller innovation to go with mass Tempest and having the necessary micro to pull it off vs one of the strongest tank/thor pushes out there....

If Hellokitty had paid even a bit of attention to that scan instead of just sending the second DT in right away, the game would've been over right then and there.

in the meantime losing 3 not 1 not 2 but 3 tanks to one single Dark Templar, i mean nooo this doens't even happen in laddergames.

So when people argue for region locking, is it more of this they want to see? Or is it the prospect that by some miracle the players suddenly get better?

I mean, I'm against region lock and I want to see koreans play, but it's been a while since I laughed this much at a game that wasn't casted by Artosis or MaximusBlack. Wouldn't mind seeing more =)
And more to the point, I'm pretty sure you can find 32 american players that don't do this.

You have to note that this is the problem with invites based off of results a year ago (or 7+ months ago). That is why some players that shouldn't be in challenger let alone premier are in this.
If they had been smart all of WCS would have been qualifier only and not invite with a few qualifiers.
I mean, why would you laugh at players for playing better than you? You can't even really say they're playing bad for progamers since you can't really become a progamer in NA because of all the Koreans. Don't think anyone should be surprised that when you don't allow a pro scene to develop you get amateurs who play like amateurs.

There would still be a good chance that players like Maker would have qualified if it were region locked. Might have gotten some hackers too. There just isn't 32 players in NA that are that strong

Are you seriously going to pin this game on koreans playing in WCS? Because that would be even funnier than the game was.

Keep in mind that if there was a hard region lock they would need a place for all the non korean/european players-- WCS AM would be a great place for that. WCS AM/China/Oceania/everything else could definitely support 32+ solid players.

It wouldn't really be competitive though as soon as you have a player like Scarlett playing. Plus you have to fill up the Challenger division, so that's a lot of players and a very sparse talent pool.
Plus, the idea of region lock is based on the idea that if given an exclusive tournament, the AM scene will begin to consistently produce solid players. I'm not sure about that

Awesome. Good story lol. Didn't know FXO was the team that he almost all-killed.
Very weird. Aren't these live? Because there couldn't have been even five minutes from when stream went down to when Undead1993 said Hellokitty was playing Incontrol on his stream. So then he must've forfeited?

There's a stream delay and I'm not sure how long it is. If it's like 10 min, then it could have gone to game 2 and Hellokitty lost to the first hellbat drops and gged. neeb would have had like 15 min to win the game so it's not unreasonable
