Yugioh made the units already anyway, so either he attacks with them and does damage, or he sits on them and does nothing while he's already spent the money on them.

what are his other options? play a macro game 3base vs 3base with 55 vs 55 workers+3mules and no spire, no infestation pit up ?

It really is stupid (proven to be so) to allow bo1 in such tournaments. Imagine if yugioh's roach bane bust worked. He would have beaten both soulkey and flash.. only for the lazy format. Please don't give me the "but he did win that ONE game" because it's straight out wrong and you probably know it.

tbh I think if he decided to not attack he would get tons of shit from the community for taking advantage of the lag so he felt like he had to go through with his attack. when the game dropped the tanks had already hit his units before.

Missed a few seconds after the game was restarted. He looked like he was in a tricky spot, and then he's up 30-40 supply and just pushes and wins.

I guess tanks saved the day?

That pause helped Flash sooooooo much. I'm pretty sure he peaked at the minimap too and considered all his options.

Why did they change the groups format to BO1? This for me it seems a really bad decision and more of a coin-flip. And this means that more koreans will start to migrate to european and american tournaments. I guess this is good in the long run.
