Ah, shit. I pre-made all the recommended game polls, and the original OP had different matchups compared to what is being broadcasted. I guess I'll go remake some real quick.

Probably this one :D

Most of the thread is people posting how they aren't/weren't watching.

Major's gonna lose. Killer once again showing he's one of the more proficient players from the Americas. For certain one of the most clutch players.

Team 8 probably has the worst training environment out of all the Kespa teams, It's a good place to be but It's not Woongjin or anything.

But yes I'm also disappointed.

im a big major fan but it kinda annoys me

Major is literally the most dedicated foreign player, is on a kespa professional team, lives in a kespa house, and trains daily with kespa professionals.. I dont understand how he is always managing to lose to nonames and mid/low tier foreigners..

Who says being on a KR team guarantees good training? Wasn't it Huk who said that they often outright refused to practice with him?

If anything I see Kespa teams being even less inclusive.

I wouldn't compare Kespa teams in this day and age to a "eSF"(before eSF existed) team back in 2011 when there was almost no structure in the scene. You might still be right but HuK's situation was different because he wasn't directly on the team, just staying there as a partner.

I doubt that the rest of the T8 players are intentionally excluding Major, since it appears Major has a pretty good relation with the rest of the team. Of course, there will probably be a bit of isolation despite the best of intentions due to language and cultural differences.

Then again, I remember hearing that training in Korea will usually result in a decrease of skill first, due to unlearning bad habits and relearning more efficient ways to do basic things.

Major is a mid/low tier foreigner, he's never proved otherwise with any results. As for why he's not getting better, he's either not working hard enough, not training efficiently enough or he's just not talented enough. I'm not watching so I don't know how he looks but Killer has always been pretty solid. I would Major as even with Killer.

Major is definitely not a low-tier foreigner. And of course, if he wasn't good at all, why would T8 pick him up?

I didn't say low-tier. If there was a group with mid-tier/low tier foreigners, I'd put him in it. He might be at the higher end but still in the group
And I don't know why they picked him up, but they're the worst kespa team and they still haven't played him, maybe they wanted another person to practice against.

And Killer has always been good in the foreign scene, a real upset factory. It's just that he has close to no exposure, and he doesn't attend many live events. That's a little bit the same scene for Moonglade, those two performs well everytime we see them, it's just that we don't see them much.

It's a growing process. Unless you are super talented, most players will spend at leas an year or 2 just grinding practice games in team houses and then they get sent out. They spend another year or so just getting the mind control needed to play at their best in the booth.

There is no secret way to get extremely good at the game extremely fast. Unless you have a superior understanding of the game far beyond everyone else, you're going to have to keep grinding out games over and over and over again until you reach that level.

Dreams may betray you, but hard work betrays no one. So long as Major keeps putting in time and effort into practice, he will always be a foreigner to look out for.

First guy said, why does he lose to mid/low tier foreigners, and I'm saying he's in the same group. I guess you want me to say he's not high tier? Same thing.

Lots of people have been saying Major is incredibly good and talented, for years. Not that my thoughts matter, but after a couple years he has never impressed me in the slightest. I'm not saying he's not good, but I just don't see what other people see.

For this kind of online tournament, can players have another player watch from behind to remind him stuff? For example, remind him a red dot on minimap he doesn't notice, possible drops.
Fuck you Zealously! For the fuck you give to those players.

Yes, but there is honor and all that. It's marginal benefit, since someone talking to you could be distracting, and if you are caught, it could really kill a career.

Major is really really good, jeez. Keeping his macro going while attacking everywhere at once is so hard but he's doing it without missing a beat. Training in Korea looks like it's paid off.

currently.
also if he forfeits, shouldnt mlg have known that weeks ago and found a replacement instead of having a 3 player group?

Major just posted this

i promise i will show better games in premier league
i played really bad and i have lots of spike lags from kr to NA

i will practice alot.

I had forgotten the lag, maybe thats part of the reason he didnt played that well.

Yeah, but it'd be tricky to find a replacement. They'd have to run a qualifier tournament for the spot most ideally, but that takes a lot of work, so let's just give some walk overs. It's not really fair, but alas, hiccups happen.

im a big major fan but it kinda annoys me

Major is literally the most dedicated foreign player, is on a kespa professional team, lives in a kespa house, and trains daily with kespa professionals.. I dont understand how he is always managing to lose to nonames and mid/low tier foreigners..

I couldn't disagree with you more, and neither could the results. MajOr has always been a lot better than KiLLeR. KiLLeR got much better and lessened the gap, and people can now see that he's also a big threat.
I love how KiLLeR rose a few years ago to be a top NA player, but in the past MajOr was known to be far better, and I don't think results will ever put them in the same category.

They could have done some sort of wildcard tournament like GSL has done in the past for people eliminated but this time invite like everyone 1 round away from qualifying for challenger since no one falls to Code B from the brackets. That would give you a small tournament of HyuN, Elige, JYP, Moosegills, Zenio, CatZ, hendralisk, and then someone would have to replace miya. That's the first possible solution that comes to my mind. seems kind of stupid to have a free pass group where no one can be eliminated.

His always been doing this. His weakness has always been unstable unit control, and from what I've seen Korea hasn't really benefited him significantly in that regard.
