Maybe they feel like they can't bring their point across in English well enough? To those bashing Koreans on English, think about this. Americans are the most linguistically deaf people I know. Chances are there are more random Koreans who are able to understand English than there are Americans who can understand French, or even Mexican Spanish. At least Koreans have basic knowledge of English despite not being able to speak it, and a lot know some Chinese and Japanese as well. Compare that to Americans who in my experience really know nothing else but English. Also cringeworthy are those who try say Spanish names in words like Jose (Hoe-zey, instead of Hose), Como estas (Kowmow eystas instead of komo estas), I mean, how deaf and linguistically stubborn can you be. I am no linguist but at least I pay attention to how a words is spoken and how a language is used. Going back to why most Koreans don't speak English, there is no practical reason to, unless you want to study or work abroad like I do. No Korean will ever speak to another Korean in English in Korea. 99.999999999999999999% of the time.

They're cutthroat and ruthless suits who focus on the business side of things and on how to make the most money. The companies that sponsor KeSPA teams are not gaming businesses. They're regular and boring corporations that want to present an image for themselves through gaming.
