Thanks OP. I considered making this but became scared and confused. I just followed the email twitch sent me and wasn't entirely sure what I was even watching
Srsly how come these be progamers? Wonder why blizzard wants to buff protoss, these players are so terrible. PvP is already horrible, mana and bischu only make it worse

Yeah, I read in the latest Battle Report that Blizzard intends to buff protoss to help out Mana and Bischu specifically.

I mean did you watch his play ? Buffing warp prism is not going to compensate that . ^.^
I didn't make that comment for anything balance related. Merely stating the statistic. We could even see 8/8 with Welmu and MC playing tomorrow. I HIGHLY, highly doubt MC drops out but Welmu could. Hell if Nerchio beats MC and DarkHydra beats Welmu theres a small chance Welmu out PvPs MC. Still ridiculously unlikely but possible.
I saw this guy (Firecake) BM Jaedong and call him a fucking baddie during beta after Jaedong ripped him a new one in a very very one sided ZvZ. Jaedong was on a barcode.

Jaedong is not the only one, from what I heard Fircake is pretty bm in general.

Yeah, it was safe to assume that it wasn't the first time he was raging at someone, I just found it pretty humorous that some random nobody was BMing Jaedong and calling him bad, especially after such a hilariously one sided game.

I'm sure that eMG will pick him up if he doesn't manage anything on his own.

this doesn't sound well for MC/Welmu
Half the players in challenger and subsequently the up and downs were protoss. it's about half advancing and half dropping, so it's not all that surprising.

I´ve heard from many pro-gamers via twitter and stuff, that they get flamed a lot more, when playing on a barcode. That´s seems to be some weird "If I don´t recognize them, they don´t recognize me either"-thing, I doubt Firecake would flame Jaedong, knowing it was Jaedong.

That is not the point you know. Calling someone baddie when he is kicking your ass is at least hilarious and childish. Be it JD or anyone else.
There were some okay games today. From what I saw the right people went up. As a sidenote Twitch is now being an asshat and not loading streams for me.

That seems a little more stupid, because you could be flaming anyone. For all you know, that barcode is a Code S player so it's really silly for Firezerg to assume it's some scrub considering like half the koreans are barcode id's

I am all in for it. Some punishment would keep out the hands of some warriors off the keyboard. Such rants are not funny, rather stupid and abrasive.

I think it's funny. It didn't seem in very bad nature. There was no "you are a piece of shit" attack or anything like that. Just a bit of whining about his own situation and stuff.

Give manner to whom manner is due.
More like "I am only mannered if there are consequences to the contrary".

That's because too many had qualified, some were not up to par. The race distribution for next season is very even in EU, it's 10 of each so far, will be 11 P & Z, 10 T if Nerchio and MC go through tomorrow.
So we reached the 10-10-10, exactly as I hoped we would (scypio if you're reading that's what I was rooting for). Perfect race balance in the seeding, worse possibility left is 12-10-10, which is still all right, and anyway sorry Welmu but I don't think you're through tomorrow

It wasn't in bad nature, but it was just beyond cringeworthy and pathetic.
Anyways, my suggestion goes for everything (BM, excuses, complains), just don't show anything. What does it help the viewer, other than create a shitload of drama on reddit?
And I'm not saying that Firecake necessarily should get a warning/ban, that's more for the severe cases (we've had some of them in these qualifiers...).

That was hardly a rant.. and Naniwa has berated his opponents several times after games in WCS, don't think he hasn't received a penalty for it.
On June 05 2013 05:12 freerolll wrote: What did fire cake say in chat? I missed it :p
It was about four lines of chat. He mentioned he felt it was unfair that he lost. It seemed as if Mana and him were playing together a lot and him usually winning. The last line was Mana typing "thanks".
No idea if he was genuinely chatting and joking with Mana or trying to say something to the audience watching.

Yes, it certainly was one of the saddest things I've witnessed. He just lost 2-0 and takes a minute to tell Mana, the casters, and the viewers how unfair it is because he usually beats the Polish player on the ladder?!?!?
And yes, it wasn't a rant-rant, that's why I wrote it in quotation marks. It was still embarressing to watch, and will only be used against him in the future (also why chat-sensur could be a good thing, the players are obviously upset after a loss and people react differently).
They should still get warnings and potential bans (if it happens over and over again, for example) for their BM, but it can easily be done without creating a shit storm.

Something like "gg. but seriously. it feels so unfair. i played you so many times. gl"
I really hope people who want to ban chat in wcs are in tiny minority. It's just words.
I am not for banning chat, rather for warning people who are too excessive with the insults. Latest case I can recollect would be Naniwa who BMed Tefel. There should be rules preventing it, like you get warning for the first time, but next time you get a def-lose in your next game (not match, a single game) in this season. That would stop people going overboard with it.

Well, it would have been good if I were to be a hateful little shit, but all I'm really interested in is the game. As I said, people that BMs (real BM) over and over again should get their warnings and bans, but I don't really see why it's good that the BM takes the focus away from the game itself (as it normally does with this community when someone get's a little bit tilted)...
Anyway, it's just my opinion, I don't expect anyone to agree, but given that this is a forum I thought I could put it out there.
I didn't really want to criticize you, just show a bit of my own opinion. I have to say I didn't actually think it was terribly BM what he typed. We can't know what his tone was as it was just text, not actual talking in person. The tone I was imagining was him being a bit sad and lamenting his fate in life or something, not attacking Mana.

Absolutely not, but Firecake isn't really my point. That was just sad, and will stick with him in the future (which I think is kind of unfair, even though I've heard he's a lot worse on ladder). I was just talking more in general without outing names of people that definitely should get some kind of warning/punishment for their actions.

If you seriously find that as one of the saddest things you have ever witnessed, you haven't experienced much. I wouldn't recommend telling that in a job interview.
