Last year we'd have threads at 50 pages even before the games started

lol that never happened, 20 pages maybe.

Mvp vs Life and Mvp vs Squirtle had 30+ pages before the games started :p

nah i don't think it did?

I searched for all the GSL finals threads and looked at the ones with the most posts, and looked for when people started shouting that the games were starting. I said "before games started" and not "before the stream started". Both took about 30 pages.

haha fair enough, iirc it was about 20 before the stream started (or a bit less)

the hsl with drg-genius is probably among the most pre-posting too. although that was mostly due to the OP being retarded and controversy about the banner or somecrap

That was the banner where one of them was either slightly in the shadows or slightly smaller, right? Then someone called out bias on the banner

That was a ridiculous argument

It was none other than our resident #1 DRG fan http://www.teamliquid.net/forum/profile.php?user=neoghaleon55

Dont worry. I made the last finals thread and I dont think it got this many pages until like half way through game 1 when he got the brood lord vs brood lord infinite broodling fight and people couldnt decide if it was hilarious or a tragedy.

yeah i think it was neo saying that drg looked too sad in his picture while genius was too happy or something lolol (see http://i.imgur.com/TUmGX.jpg)

also it was put up early because OP wanted to get it in before someone else, who said they wanted to do it, got theirs up. aka sniping and confessing to it as well rofl

and it changed to a world of warcraft OP as well

mess thread

Hilarious how far some people will go right?

Everyone is having a great time hyping the finals. Everyone wants it to be amazing. No need to stir some shit up
I'm afraid you totally misunderstand my point. Actually in the same post I make two very different points and you probably think they are related.

My first point is about Kespa players and how strong they turned out to be in SC2, despite so many many doubters for many months and years, while everyone was neglecting the potential of these guys in the BW leagues. I'm totally happy now that the Kespa players have proven themselves to be very strong!

My second point has nothing to do with that. It's just my personal impression of the personalities of Bogus and Soulkey, who have been known to be very well prepared players for a long time (even in BW) and yet in individual leagues I think they fail to deliver their full potential, so I expect them to both struggle in the final too. And I will nevertheless enjoy it, as I expect my Soulkey to prevail!

What? Everyone has always expected Kespa to become stronger -_-''
sure, sure
now everyone says that
but it was absolutely not true before

Of course it was.

The only debate was whether or not it would be immediate (it was not) and whether Esf pros would remain relevant (more or less yes, but less so).

You can't ignore the whole lot of posters who would take a KeSPA player's loss as an opportunity to argue against the Elephant article.

Especially on Reddit.

definitely agree with you. a lot of people were shit-talking kespa players back then, especially after the mlg invitational. this includes esf players like marineking who stated that kespa players are 'chobo', which they were at that point to be fair

Oh, are we there already?

Fun fact: Flash himself said it would take him years to catch up. Clearly he had anti-kespa biases. Quick, to the drama-mobile and lets spam the fanclub!

Actually, he said it would likely take years to reach the level he was at in BW. That's quite different than catching up.

I would say he has already surpassed any Terran except INnoVation.
