So why go for a greedy opening against a player that has shown the last 2 games that he is willing to pull out every cheese in the book? I'd say It's a risk because he was up 3-0 and can afford to lose a game to a BO loss, if Symbol didn't go for that particular all in his greed could have paid off and he would have been on the way to an easy 4-0. He just took a risk, it backfired.
No. Innovation is an alien. He already knew Symbol was going to bane bust and threw him a bone so he wouldn't be too crushed after this series.

I will argue you can't, unless you're talking about some unrealistic builds. Most normal, aggresive, and very greedy builds is never strictly a "build order win" attached to it as long as static defense and micro exists
The only time a match could truly be build order win would be something like 6 pool drone all in vs 2 proxy like earlier today. Both sides have zero information and pretty much impossible for zerg to win if they drone pulls

He's widely considered the best BW player to never win a starleague. He was easily a top 5 terran for a time.

You can gain advantage in ~70% of the games, lose 20% instantly and probably defend 10%. Worth the risk. 90% of statistics are made up on the spot. Also, 60% of the time it works...every time! Are you being sarcastic because you want to be, or because you are stupid? Obviously the ' ~ ' intended, that its not an official statistic, but games show that lots of times, greed doesn't get punished and is worth the risk. I am pretty sure that they can do something about it to minimize the luck being involved in things like will the player go to the next round or not? For example, everyone in the groups playing each other instead of this system, or something like that.
There are a lot of examples where players goes through the groups because they didn't play at all the player in their group that is better than him, or something like that.

People are just throwing names, to somehow make Bogus seem totally out of place here. People, he is not Zergbong nor he is Flash. He showed certain strenghts in BW and given how SC2 terran plays out he got rewarded. The position of 3rd terran toward end of BW was wait for it... debatable. But Bogus was surely one of candidates.
