Terrans have been doing really good or just as good as the zerg and protoss in previous hots-tournaments so far. The game is still being figured out and thats why I think every tournament for a while will have different races doing great.

Anyway, congrats leenock for a well deserved victory.

Leenock was phenomenal this tournament and cemented his place as the greatest weekend LAN player in Sc2 history.

Which events do you count as Weekend LANs? Dreamhack, MLG, IEM, HomeStory.. which others? For just the events mentioned...

By win percentage (with at least 50 wins to remove people who got lucky once or twice):

#1: Leenock 123-47 (72%)
#2: MVP 91-39 (70%)
#3: MMA 80-34 (70%)
#4: MarineKing 146-65 (69%)
#5: Polt 107-47 (69%)

By games won:

#1: MC 260-149 (63%) -- would be #13 on the win percentage list
#2: HuK 225-151 (59%) -- would be #19 on the win percentage list
#3: Socke 201-183 (52%)
#4: NaNiwa 196-135 (59%) -- would be #20 on the win percentage list
#5: Ret 187-177 (51%)

Obviously the foreigners are in the games won list because they are AT those events much more often than any Korean except for MC. These are still really respectable numbers for the people on that list, but clearly Leenock has made the most of his opportunities in the weekend LAN setting.

(Aligulac is awesome. Thanks for the data!)

Lol, useless. Wait for an accurate WCS rank, it was done for that.

Yeah, the popular and well-known WCS "weekend LAN rank" metric. How silly of me not to realize I was wasting my time here.

Anyone knows where I can find the "Dat Esports Money" video of Incontrol and Robert Ohlen in a limo?

Hey guys, JD vs. Gumiho, game 2 - 23:20 - sexiest muta split ever against the widow mines at Gumiho's 3rd. Watching the VOD and it's so sick.

Only sc2links and sc2ratings have sorted ones, as far as I know.

(Reposting. We should have post-tournament updates in the op or perhaps mod notes for these FAQ's)

Defending all ins is easy though (except for immo/sentry. It is just hard to know what is coming. As the all inning player you are basically hoping that the other player opens greedy and doesn't scout perfectly.

Macro players are infinitely more skilled then all inners and cheesers.

FFS not this debate again. It's a series. Knowing the right time to cheese is a good skill in a series. Several of the best Korean players started out as 1 base heroes. This attitude of only macro play is valid holds people back.

Have you seen Leenock's ZvZ in the tourney? So sick!

I think the best thing about the group of death is Roro must HATE it. Seriously, Leenock is great but Roro might legitimately be the best Zerg right now. Until he is eliminated from GSL that is a fairly reasonable claim. He's still sick good in pro league, and is the defending GSL champion.

No problem, it just means people will keep underestimating him as he rolls over everyone. Life has more visibility because he has been winning international events, but Roro has more success in the toughest arena and he is my pick to take the season.

Life has won 2 GSL's, as well as everything else. Roro has more success in the toughest arena?

Life has won one GSL, so he is equal with Roro in that regard. Of course Roro beat Life on the way to his GSL, which I would argue is an easy tiebreaker.

Looking at the three GSL Code S they have both participated in:

2012 Season 5 - Roro ro32, Life ro16
2013 Season 1 - Roro winner, Life ro16
2013 Season 2 (ongoing) - Both ro16 thus far, Roro 4-0'ed his group while Life went 4-2

Clear that Roro comes out ahead. Conclusion is that Life is rated higher due to international results. None of this bothers me, it simply makes being a Roro fan more fun.

well Roro didnt have to face Leenock and Parting to go through. Also Blizz cup counts as one GSL so its actually two
blizz cups he won.
