I can't imagine that Polt isn't partially regretting his decision to move to America. I'm not aware of his reasons for doing so, but it doesn't seem to have done anything beneficial for his SC2 career. He can't even practice on the Korean server properly because of lag and must now ladder against players who, a couple of months ago, were significantly below his skill level.
Disappointing to see such a talented player go out of a tournament like this so early.

2 terrans going trough, but I don't have a problem with that. What I do have a problem with is the massive whine on terran the past month (and especially from idra, ret and stephano). Why?

Probably cause they are doing good in every other tournament except this one :D

The problem is not the balance, it's the way the gameflow tends to go.
Terran is just doing hellbat drops 99% of the time, even in TvT, and it makes for boring games. It's kinda Protoss vs Zerg during WOL, either protoss won with a 1-2 base immortal allin or Zerg won the late game with broodlords/infestors. Even if the MU is balanced, as in each opponent had 50% chance to win, it's still god damn boring to watch.

Yeah, and meanwhile threads about the widow mine come up and whine about the medivacs is everywhere.

Come on when terrans started to do well at the very start of HotS, we told whiners to suck it for ages because a few games aren't proof of anything.

These are a few games too. We can't draw anymore conclusions from them as we could at start of HotS.

what tournaments did terran dominate at the start of hots?

We had terrans winning a lot of matches, especially before the hellbat medivac first patch, also we had terran progamers saying terran is too strong... I was in those LR threads, telling people it was too early to criticize terran since we only had a few games played, maybe don't try to rewrite history when I was a part of it?

I don't remember the terran dominance just alot of whine and im pretty sure terran where not winning abnormly much at all. Please prove me wrong.

Why? This is the best of Europe and the only top Koreans here are Polt, MC, Gumi, Leenock, Hyun, I guess Hero, and a couple others are around there. MC getting knocked out early unfortunately hasn't been a big deal lately, and Polt is the only real upset along with Hero, who isn't too hot lately either.

yes its called upset cauz most ppl thought polt gonna win the tournament

Uh yeah, that's why I called it an upset? And 145 people do not represent "most people", and Naniwa was second place in that poll with 110 votes. Leenock and Gumi were always the favorites, with Polt being up there due to recent results. Sorry to rain on the parade but it's not like this is stacked with top Koreans who are getting destroyed.

The Korean lineup is pretty underwhelming. There's some great Koreans here sure but there's a fuck load not here, namely all the Kespa ones plus Life, Taeja and Symbol,

I don't understand why people were calling Polt the favorite when he isn't even the best Terran at the tournament.

Code S is too expensive to watch (VODS) so no one saw Gumiho play : (

It's really stupid to let teammates play last in a format like that btw. Dreamhack got lucky that happy-kas is only important for seeding and hero-zenio doesn't affect other players.

People forget that Polt moved to the US partially because of studies...you know so that he can actually have another reliable source of income once SC2 stops being profitable for him?
