MOD NOTE: The bracket on Liquipedia is not final and should be assumed to be speculative. If you are a competitor, trust what MLG Admins tell you over the bracket.

that's incorrect

There will be a 2nd invite only qualifier next weekend to decide the 16 players entering the challenger league.

9th-40th from the Qualifying Tournament 1, will get an invite the 2nd qualifier.

So if you didn't play in this tournament you're screwed for the challenger league?

afaik TaeJa is getting a seed in the challenger league one due to being a Code S region switcher, and so should HyuN by that logic

Not necessarily, for example the chinese pros who were screwed over by MLG for the Code S qualifier will be invited for the Code A qualifier, so it's not as if you need to participate in this qualifier to participate in the next qualifier.

If this is an impromptu broadcast then I hope that there are teams smart enough to coordinate maximum airing time for their players with the MLG casters, because this will hopefully lead to less downtime.

Oh, I've run into NoCreativity on the ladder before.

He ripped me a new one, but then again Desrow is a million times better than me. Go NoCreativity.

Then they need to make a separate tournament for non-pros. This is crazy, it's like watching Andre Agassi play a high school tennis player. Who wants to watch that?

Then stop watching and come back later when all bad players are gone, no one is forcing you to watch every game.

Silly me! What was I thinking watching the World Championships? (albeit the qualifier). It was absolutely unreasonable of me to expect high level play from what's (supposedly) the highest competition of the year!

It's a NA Qualifier with hundreds of people playing. Yes, if you thought every match would be high-level you were being very silly.

He did take someone's spot. There are Chinese pros who were left out apparently because the brackets were full of these random nobodies wasting everybody's time because they want to have a day of adventure trying their luck against pros.

Wait how are amateur master players to blame for trying their luck now? MLG only holds one qualfier capped at 512 players, that's the problem.
Maru and Serral are probably top 5.

It has been alleged that there are quite a few accounts signed up who aren't even Master players. But yes, this is very much MLG's fault.

Yes, it was silly of you to expect top gameplay from all the players of a open signup qualifier tournament, good to hear that you finally understood that, and again if you don't want to watch bad gameplay then start watching the later rounds. Bitching and moaning about it won't magically make it better.

It's the first round of a 512 man qualifier that anyone could sign up for and you are bitching and moaning that it isn't flash vs jaedong. Seriously, tone it down and pull the stick from your ass.

No player needs your hate and this thread doesn't need your whining.

Take a couple of breaths, man. There's not 512 pros in NA, even with the few Koreans thrown in. There's going to be some crap matches until probably R5 or so.
