MOD NOTE: The bracket on Liquipedia is not final and should be assumed to be speculative. If you are a competitor, trust what MLG Admins tell you over the bracket.

note the quotation marks mean that the words I am using are exaggerations: How it would play out here - it was Mario's stuff that messed up, so a decision could either "punish" him (give Nony the win, resume from after Mario's army all died) or "forgive" him (regame, or resume from when Mario's stuff stopped working). Of the two players, Mario would prefer to be "forgiven", and Nony has competing interests ("sportsmanship" vs just taking the win in a high stakes situation). At this point the admins ask Nony what he prefers, and he decides to "forgive" then the admins can give both players what they want. If Nony would prefer the "punishment", then there is a dispute between the two, and it is up to the admins to decide what is fairest option on the spectrum between "punishment" and "forgiveness". The counter argument is that it is always fairest to leave the decision wholly with the admins. The merits of this counterargument is that there shouldn't be a place for players' personal feelings/whims/potential politicking in a tournament. The downside we can see in the worst of Kespa and their draconian decisions. (I think just about everyone would prefer for the game to just go on if their opponent typed "pp" instead of the sanctioned "ppp" for a pause.)
