MMA sent out first, so there´s no trouble picking ace
Curious as to how Gumiho and Leenock will perform. Gumiho looked great in Code S and with Leenock it depends on whether he actually wants to win or hopes to win trying weird shit out.
sCCCCCCCCCCCCCCC ! I still can't really forgive him for trying to switch to lol but i really liked this player in the past i hope he will not disappoint.
I kind of want an MMA all-kill, since that's about the only chance I'll be able to watch it all live before I have to go to work... But a close, hard-fought 4-3 would be more fun to watch...
This is almost make or break for FXO this season, another terrible game like the last 2 and they could almost kiss their chance of making the play offs good-bye.
Hmmmm soo hard to call. On one hand Axiom-acer got a huge momentum going into this, beeing 2-0 against 0-2 in GSTL (and agaisnt the sameteam), on the other hand gumiho 4-0 his "group of death" this week, tear qualified for code A and we don't know what leenock manage to do yet, so as far as individual players go, FXO dont look that bad. Out of sheer GSTL momentum, axiom got this easy (and could even perform an all-kill), on the other handI would not be at all surprised to see one of the 3 heads perform an all-kill (hi gumi )

If there's anything LR threads have proved by being completely wrong time and again, it's that they have no idea at all how our guys pick their lineup
TB confirmed for ace. Don't tell FXO...
As Axiom is down on the ropes 0-3 against a sC who is showing the world LoL hadn't tainted his SC2 skills, Axiom quietly picks their ace. The team breaks, and every member sits down strangely, while the audience and FXO stare incomprehensibly. In the crowd, a man pulls off his mask and reveals himself to be TB, ace of Axiom. He performs an epic reverse all-kill by defeating sC, Leenock, Hurricane and GuMiho, all with games that have 95%+ approval rates on TL. TB races off, gives Genna a kiss on the cheek, and rushes towards the heavens.

Close but not. He will beat sc, gumiho and leenock in flash fashion. Then choya pulls out the ultimate ace : TheBest, who will kill Tb with sheer banshee control.
It bothers me so much that the supply and the resource are at the bottom instead of upper right... everything else is fantastic, just that tiny thing...

I'll have you know though that map awareness is something that SC breeds and LoL does not. I play some LoL and team mates worship me. It's hilarious. Like, yeah, matter of fact I did know where five of five dudes were lol.
One thing to note about MMA's defense is the Sensor Towers which gives him foresight into where sC's army is moving. Unlike MMA, sC is lacking Sensor Towers which gives him a strategic disadvantage.

Though I want Axiom-Acer to win,, I'm so glad sC one that and I wouldn't be angry if he got an all kill lol. sC has had such bad luck with health issues and hes just coming back.. what a boss.

He was at his best during Mvp's reign, so sadly he'd have never gotten his trophy regardless.
Hmmm, Miya is an interesting choice because I heard he is a good ZvT sniper, but I'm thinking this is an outdated notion now. If Axiom-Acer chose him, he must have a very specific build prepared.
SC - GSL champ within a year. Miya is about to get destroyed. And after that poor Scarlett is gonna hoave to ZvT against him... I almost feel bad for her.

He most likely would have won one if he beat Nestea in that awesome game 5. If i remember right that season it was Nestea vs Inca finals.

That was beautiful play by SC -- had he not caught every little maneuver by MMA there at the end and exploited it, MMA would have started mining and built up an army supply lead.
Happy sC is back. Great player, and if his health issues settle down, he should be in Premiere League before 2013 is done. Also blame Boxer for calling MMA cancer. Emperor's fault.

MMA and sc moving with marine/tanks army everywhere, destroying command centers everywhere during 15 min. And it looked like the game could be over pretty much anytime. And you have to notice that sc opening went AWFULLY bad, and you would expect him to loose

I think wolfdor was overeacting with sC being behind a lot of times tbh. Except a couple times where he had MMA's army parked in his front door he was ahead or equal economical.

I know what you are trying to say and this is a very complicated issue, but rest assured it doesn't have any affect on players (they do not see the creep).
With this parade style that the terrans are doing vs zerg nowadays, wouldn't it be really strong for the zerg to take a bunch of zerglings to intercept reinforcements? Your defence would be weaker for a little while but I think it would really pay off.

is it similar to chronoboost, where the particles are already generated and when the observer switches to the players' view the particles don't get destroyed and just take time to fade? anyways if it doesn't affect the players that's fine
good to see sC doing well again, imo he should of won a GSL back in the Wings of Liberty day when he was in his prime and probably would of if not for his lung collapsing issues, he easily could of been in the finals vs Losira instead of Nestea if you recall the close match on Crossfire

My theorycrafting guess, but I suppose sC is trying to maximize his Bio efficiency by building only Marines, which are cheaper in resources and supply than incorporating Marauders. Once he sees Ultras, he can immediately transition into Marauders easily and increase his efficiency against them, Infestors and Banelings.

That final was vs Inc, not Losira. Losira was the one Nestea won a whole GSL without losing a single set.

All kill incoming?
It kinda works, but if they have widow mines or a bunker, it doesn't do shit and you're that much weaker defending. It's not a bad idea, but it's not guaranteed to do anything either.
edit: I'm nowhere as experienced as these guys obviously, but I always feel like (when facing this type of attack) that if I can just mass up a *few* more units, I'll crush the attack, so it's psychologically difficult to send units away from your defense.

Lol. Well Ryung is great yeah, if anyone can do it it's probably him. But then there's still GuMiHo, Leenock and a bunch of other talents lying in wait, and I'm sure someone has something prepared for him. :S

No not quite. The issue is that the observers in GameHeart are not real observers, but actually fake players which have no units. Blizzard has not given map makers a way to show one player's FoW memory to another, so all I can do is hide the buildings and units he hasn't seen, but not the creep itself. Each player actually has an invisible invincible unit hovering above their starting base that instantly adds a buff to each enemy structure the instant it comes into vision. GameHeart's vision system hides all enemy buildings that do NOT have this buff when you switch to a player's vision (units are hidden automatically). I am still trying to find a solution for creep, but luckily it very very rarely is an issue and I think it's worth the trade off for zoom and all of the other functions of GameHeart.
This is where Miya's Hive composition just falls flat against sC's drop-centric style. Infestors aren't as great against drops, Ultra/Ling/Bane can't hit air, and the mobility isn't that great.

That's such a poor mentality toi have, especially if Axiom-Acer intend to stick around in the GSTL (or potentially even ProLeague) for longer than a season.
Remember when Incredible Miracle were carried by Mvp and NesTea, and the team didn't do so well in team leagues because the coach didn't send them out? Look where they are right now, Seed is a GSL champion, YoDa and First are IEM champions, YongHwa has placed Top 4 in multiple major tournaments etc.
You can't just rely on your aces all the time, the other players need more experience as well.

Tough loss for AxA, sometimes you just run into someone who's red-hot. I feel their big mistake was sending out Heart 3rd after sC had already shown such a good tvt against MMA. They should've gone with a protoss like Crank who had shown a good tvp game against Yoda rather then sending out 3 terrans of 4 in what is obviously a strong matchup for sC.
Clearly sC is a special player: all-killing the likes of MMA and Ryung in tvt is one helluva way to announce your comeback.
