Ah damn misclicked, can any mod rename it to "[SPL] CJ Entus vs Woongjin Stars R4 Week 2"? Also I'm still working so prolly no live reports, just results, if anyone is doing it feel free to take it over or pm me links to their LR posts, thx!

I liked the yellow ones! Well, at least the style, but the color probably could have been better. SKT's orange definitely trumps the yellows ones in terms of bad color progaming attire though.
This is some of the worst casting I've ever heard from Whiplash. He continually praises Hydra having "awesome engagements" when they are some of hte worst possible engagements a Zerg has ever taken. I'm not kidding, they are absolutely *awful* engagements by Hydra. Just awful... yet he's PRAISING him for playing well?! Light has been *so* cost efficient in every single battle...
EDIT: Note, I usually like Whiplash. I'm just really bothered by his currently analysis, it's just completely wrong.
This game was heavily one-sided, Hydra was behind *all* game pretty much. At least ever since hte baneling bust. I don't know what the casters were talking about, Light had continually awesome trades while securing additional bases and getting upgrade advantages. This is *exactly* what you want as Terran.

It was a really bad baneling bust and he was behind all game, but it was still a pretty fun and exciting game because of the amount of drops and hatch snipes

Well they were praising his engagements. And while it seemed to me, that he had bad engagements, gotta admit this is the first time I have seen Zerg 20-30 supply down and still win the fight against terran...

I think you have to take almost everything these casters say with a grain of salt.

Ouch. They are the official English casters.
really? i had no idea... are they paid by SPL?
Yup. Though the production, especially back when they weren't even on camera (no control over the observer, talking over the korean casters, etc) sure makes them seem like old school BW fan casters.

yeah that's what i thought. i thought i remember a thread on TL that they were making a TL sponsored stream of SPL. I had no idea they were official. I'm still not crazy about them though. although, I'm probably the only person who liked moletrap, so my taste in casters could be considered 'odd'
I've never played this map, but it seems really tough for P to take a 4th vs Z. at least Z's fourth is not too far away, and deniable, unless Z plays really well
Effort probably could have ended that game 20 minutes ago, really let Flying get into a good position. He's lucky Flying had no fucking idea what to do with his army and kind of killed his composition unnecessarily.
It's finally over lol. I don't think effort played that poorly tbh, though he did have pretty flagrant mistakes/slow reactions here and there. At least it's over now.
EffOrt has already won after playing a great early-to-mid game with hydras. Then he just fucked around by going for that shitty composition

he coulda made 2000 lings off 5 base or 200 mutas or 100 ultras or whatever and rolled Flying 30 mins ago. He just decided to go unit-testing mode instead

The nyduses were pretty bad imo, specially those on top of DTs (which he could see).

To be fair, they were both terrible in that game. Mass slow moving units everywhere.
True, it was just frustrating to see Flying lose to a zerg composition that just isn't strong anymore.
Maybe he mistook the tempest for the carrier as in he thought it could stand on its own and not as support? I got the feeling he was playing around at one point with the unit although all he had to do was make carriers and a move with his banked money XD

he played it terribly, he got a huge lead and then threw swarm hosts and nydus away for like 15 minutes and accomplished literally nothing while letting flying get an ideal unit comp, which flying managed to fuck up and split and lose anyway.
he still won but it was absurdly inefficient and not even safe

Just needed to stop at 4 tempests and fill up on carrier/void, it would have been so much stronger.

Don't confuse boring play with a boring race. And honestly, they both played like snails when there was absolutely no fucking need at various points.

He didn't even gain the huge lead by playing well; Flying inexplicably attacked with his stalkers / voidray, and just lost most of his army. He had blink but didn't micro in the slightest, losing the mothership core and void ray for no reason.

With Brood War being "over," I doubt anything Proleague does will really recapture people on that scale. It seems like it's kind split between LoL, SC2, and World of Tanks(?).

We'll see after the SSL 8 finals. Venue seats up to 5500 people. Legends match with NaDa and YellOw might help fill it up.

CJ hero had the name first in televised games but that was still in BW. In SC2 televised Liquid hero had it first.

There were multiple hero's in BW as well, just different clan tags.

There probably won't be a big issue until Legacy of the Void is out and Blizzard doesn't have a reason to make tournaments a loss leader for future products. After that, who knows...
god supernovamaniac... "i dont agree with the zealots"
he had fucking 1.5k minerals / no gas and desperate to warp in HT's to hold the push (which was technically impsosible anyway" - he might as well warp in zealots instead of sitting on useless minerals, right?
somehow, he didnt get better over the time in my opinion -,-

G1 was good. The rest was awful.
At least I don't have to catch up on VODs then Fingers crossed Soulkey can pull out the win here
Hey guys, we're always supposed to have an anti-spoiler vote for all games that weren't played but there isn't one for the ace match here. Could someone set that up for good measure? ^_^ I would do it but as far as I'm aware only the OP or moderators can assign one to the OP.
EDIT: Or maybe I could still put the poll here and someone else can add it to the OP under Recommended Games.

Seriously if you need laugh then go watch that game. I don't remember a more poorly played match Korean Starcraft.
There have been tons of lousy games in both Proleague and GSTL this season. Did you watch Hybrid PL? That was pretty bad for both games.

Lol. In that season I remember Motive aka Lizzy being forced to play BW because the players had to switch between games. You might see mistakes or bad decisions today, but that was a completely different level of "bad"...

I just watched it too and I was dumbfounded and amazed. Nothing made sense.
So does anybody know what happened to Leta? He was removed from the roster this round for "failure to successfuly change race", but what after that? Did he retire, is it still practicing?

To be honest, that match looked like classic BW match. Sure, there were mistakes, but both players were all over the map, it was pretty entertaining, and I love the way Effort used Swarm Hosts. Spawned a lot of Nyduses on the map, and kept small squads of Swarm Hosts with them and was constantly attacking everywhere.

I kinda felt bad for him. He was looking pretty good in SC2 at first, but those BW games were pretty bad. I thought he was holding his own in that one PvP that he played, up until he completely botched the big engagement.
The old BW PL also had some bad games too. Firebathero vs Jaehoon and Action vs Canata still ring in my memory.
