How much HoTS TvZ have you been watching?

This is such high level from both of them, the speed and accuracy of their movements is incredible.

The only reason it looks sloppy is because of how well both of them are countering each other, it would look smooth if it was a steamroll, but it was a slugfests with both sides taking huge losses.

Yoda just outlasted her, the drop play kept her contained to her bases and she eventually fell to his superior production.

How in the world was that game "sloppy?" It's hard to find someone who can deal with Widow Mines better than Scarlett, and you'd be hard pressed to find Terrans with better drop play than what Yoda just showed. MMA in his prime maybe or Gumiho but those are two of the best.

Yoda microing poorly against ultras, not stutter stepping and relying on his splits doing the job, not targetting widow mines properly, pushing into a choke against ultra/infestor. I loved his multiple drops, even if they didn't do much damage it showed that Scarlett has some issues defending on so many multiple locations, possibly because of lack of minimap awareness.


Theres no point to stutter step because if you tried to split to begin with your units will clump up and be a feast for A-moving ultras.

You can just hope and pray and micro a small squad.

When you micro against only ultras you split first then pull back the groups being attacked leaving the cows running back and forth.

You don't split then choose the entire army and move that back.


You already answered it when the post was relevant, 20pages ago

Yoda setting up concaves with mines and units, have no room behind to micro units but a few.
Better to just leave them and focus on drops aswell as production.

Anyway, I'm not sure which engagement we're talking about where YoDa had no room to micro, but I recall a couple engagements right outside of his own base where he had plenty room but refused to do anything about it.
