I suspect that the issue at hand is that koreans use nicknames much less. Fans (and casters) use their real names, so do the players themselves. Western players/casters use nicknames as "art names", essentially, and build their image around them, but koreans use them much less and consider them less important. | ||

I think for them IDs is just something they use online on the ladder or in the game UI, it's not that important. | ||
