The usual: Don't flame casters or players. Don't discuss balance in this or any LR thread. Don't call your fellow posters idiots. Be excited, happy and entertained. |

Leenock is too random, he loses too many series for doing quite uncharacteristic derps. His 0-3 to innovation was just terrible =( Leenock saves all his power for epic runs in August through October. Then November comes around before he can play in his GSL finals and he gets knocked out

WTF was that.... mlg is so crazy these days.

It's kinda true though, Socke used to complain on Szenecast all the time that sometimes at MLG you play one series in the morning and then you have to wait 11-12 hours until you play again, he always said he played way worse after such a long break where you never know when the games are actually going to start.

Exactly. Terran is doing well, Protoss is doing OK, and Zerg is struggling.
The tournament had 9 Korean Terrans, 6 Korean Protoss, and 2 Korean Zergs.
This is not a coincidence, and the only race that is imba is Korea

This super late night tournament watching is just getting more and more surreal with this chill music.

At his age in Korea they don't stay up this late. I think this is completely incorrect. The time on the clock is irrelevant to Life. His body is lagged and exposed to being awake at hours in which his Circadian rhythms don't want him to be, and that's the problem. That's making a massive assumption that none of these guys make an effort to adjust. Every athlete has a program they do in order to deal with this. Unless he just got off the plane the very same day then I guess this does not apply. But more than physically, he's disciplined to sleep are a particular time. Life, who can't play past midnight or whatever in Korea, changing his sleep schedule for a foreign tournament? I find that unlikely. Do you honestly believe that these underaged progamers don't play SC2 past midnight in Korea? Its just a matter of using an adult's account. You think they can't find someone above the minimum age to register a game for them to practice at night? When progaming is their job? Its not Life's job. He specifically stated before his GSL win that he couldn't practice much because of high school... so I don't think its terribly unreasonable to expect for a person of his age that it wouldn't possible...
again... you don't think he plays after midnight? A teenager. Who has to do homework and practice. Not about how much he practices, about what time he does it. No progamer whatever their age lets the ridiculous curfew affect their schedule.

I really wish the casters would stop going on and on making assumptions about Terran being overpowered...Medivacs are strong we get it. However esp for TvZ...theres been one all korean TvZ at MLG so far ( Bogus vs Leenock). Bogus was a master of TvZ in WoL...and esp with medivacs to begin with. Why they have to make these assumptions based on < a week of play is just really irresponsible and feeding the community whine. Hopefully blizzard just lets this play out bc so far everything has been great games and really refreshing!

A tournament isn't complete until I see both opterown and fionn crushed with their favorites losing.

You're crazy if you think this is life's regular play. He would never drop a game to polt under normal conditions. Polt isn't even close to life's league, yet managed to take a game already. Kid is jetlagged like crazy and it shows in his face and play. I think you're venturing a little bit into the realm of hyperbole there. Life is obviously better than Polt but Polt isn't and never has been a player to be dismissed out of hand.

Roro and Symbol are two of the best ZvZ players in the world. I think Life is better than them both at the other two matchups and a better player overall. Snute would like a word with you. TBH Symbol was known to have poor ZvZ for a Korean until the past GSL. Tell him to call me too. I watched IEM and it was bad.

He's going Roaches this time.

Soulkey should stop meeting Life in the Ro16 so we can see Life ascend. It's roro who eliminated life in ro16 of recent GSL. Ah.. right. Sorry, my bad. Still, in vP and vT RorO doesn't seem as great. And the CK game that set was boring roach hydra. The chaos in HotS should be better the next time they meet.
Roro's ZvP killed MC in BO5, his ZvT killed MVP in BO3, and his ZvZ killed life in BO3. He's probably not the best, but he's definitely better than symbol in vP and vT matchups.
