The usual: Don't flame casters or players. Don't discuss balance in this or any LR thread. Don't call your fellow posters idiots. Be excited, happy and entertained.

Exactly. Terran is doing well, Protoss is doing OK, and Zerg is struggling.

The tournament had 9 Korean Terrans, 6 Korean Protoss, and 2 Korean Zergs.

This is not a coincidence, and the only race that is imba is Korea

The tournament had qualifiers...

1 pre-planned series by invitation as "qualifiers" aren't really qualifiers.

Otherwise we might be watching LG-IM Ruin vs MVPMonster

so i just realized the top 8 in the bottom half of the bracket are all kespa players, does them not going to other international tournaments like nasl/dh/iem kill the prestige of everything in the foreign scene not called MLG?

It's a fun exhibition tournament with a few of the best WoL players and some others. Nothing more, nothing less.

If Life can get Vipers out before Polt pushes, he should be able to win this.

life still the best zerg?

Of course, was that ever in question?

He is always been in question when his oppoenet is also a zerg. And that's why he is not always the best zerg player.

Eh, I'd say it's the other way around. Roro and Symbol are two of the best ZvZ players in the world. I think Life is better than them both at the other two matchups and a better player overall.

Symbol a great ZvZ player? I thought that was one of his lesser matchups, considering that he lost 0-6 against Snute at HSC 6

Historically, you are correct...ZvZ was one of his worse match-ups. But at the end of WoL, he had some sort of epiphany and started just crushing face and nobody knew how to beat him until RoRo in the finals.

MC was super aggressive in 4 straight games and won 3 of them. Opened stargate in every game except the last one in which he all inned with Mothership Core and gateway units.

MLG is the most competitive foreign tournament for the simple fact that it has Kespa on its side.
But there were talks of Kespa to start sending players to Dreamhack so there's hope.
Dont know about IEM or Nasl

Screw this, borderline 7AM and my bed looks awesome. I'll watch the rest of this last game from that location (yeah, I'm that cocky when it comes to Life's chances ^.^) Good night fellow LR lurkers etc. and see you tomorrow for more great HotS games.
