Hello ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the latest incarnation of the /vg/st! Featuring a $250 prize pool, /vg/'s best and brightest as well as players who just want to play for ~fun~ will perform glorious feats of StarCraft for our entertainment.
Date of tournament: Saturday, Mar 09 8:30pm GMT (GMT+00:00). The projected time the tournament will take up is approximately six to eight hours, which is, conveniently, before the GSL finals will begin~
Brackets can be found here: http://challonge.com/lastvgst
Stream can be found here: http://www.twitch.tv/vgstarcraft
We hope to see you tune in!
Although the challonge bracket lists "open registration," the bracket is no longer accepting new registrations - apologies in advance if any TL readers were interested in participating. Thank you for understanding
I hope to show good games
Short notice as fuck, shame.
How horrifying
Somebody please delete this debacle

I have some players entering this tournament and I am wondering two things:
1. Has the prize pool distribution has been finalized? If so, what is it? 2. When will you be finalizing the bracket? I assume once you have the minimum participants, or the day of.
Thanks!
Damn i would of play that one !

Looking forward to this one, I think it's going to be a great tournament! Woop woop, Terran fighting!

Hi, unfortunately I'll have to direct you to the second post in the thread. Unless it's a special case, players who weren't signed up before the thread was posted will not be allowed in the tournament. I hate to be all discretionary about it, but it was kinda right there.
Prize pool distribution is as follows: $150, $75, $25. Brackets will be finalized day of the tournament, and links will be updated to reflect that.
I understand your interest, but unfortunately the participants have already been decided.
If there's another tournament we run, likely under a different name, I'll be sure to let you know the details.

I am mostly happy with how the games went today, it was a lot of fun. Thanks to Cresse, Ophidian and iaxx for sending off WoL with a pretty good tournament.
Great games, see you guys tomorrow.
The WB Finals/LB semis and the rest of the event continue on tomorrow with KawaiiTyrone, Mewbert, Yoigen, Hendralisk, and Hyoyeon. Thanks all for watching and participating, tune in at 1PM EST tomorrow for day 2. Vods are available on the stream at http://www.twitch.tv/vgstarcraft/videos?kind=past_broadcasts
wow hendralisk made it through? thats sick. Glad to see the pros making a bit more money today
cyrano/value got in too, i don't know if he got on stream though
hendralisk is a community member and remains in the event naturally, while value was unaware of the rules and went unrecognized until Yoigen made us aware of who he was. Value left the event as he was not qualified to play in it. For future community events, we will look into a better way to have a private signup to avoid confusion.
I'm really pissed that I didn't know this was going in. Sad days indeed. On the bright side, my #passion is back.
you guys said this started at 1 EST, I wanted to watch where's the stream?
Vods are up and saved, check them out if you missed today's championship games. Congrats to our winners! + Show Spoiler +#1. Hendralisk ($150), #2. Mewbert ($75), #3. KawaiiTyrone ($25)
Great games, everyone, it was a lot of fun.

value was a long-time community member who had the potential to beat any of the remaining players in the bracket while Hendralisk is a random viewer of the stream of one of the friends of the organisers, mewbert - who, incidentally, also came 2nd in the tournament. This tournament was full of questionable decisions by the group in charge, including brackets that seemed to give certain people easier paths to the business end of the tournament. Hopefully TL won't feature such a poorly-organised and questionable tourney if it's held again.

Aw, I missed it
