The time has come for our forty-eighth IGN Pro League Fight Club! This is a weekly king of the hill showmatch series. Basically, there will be a 1 vs. 1 best of 9 showmatch each and every week, where the winner will earn a $500 prize and a $100 bounty on their head. For example, if a player wins three weeks in a row they will have earned $1,500 and a $300 bounty. If a NEW challenger defeats him, they will earn $500 for the showmatch, take the $300 bounty home, and have a new $100 bounty placed on their head for each week that they win.
NOTE: We will be switching over to HotS this week. We gave Creator the option of reserving his spot in Fight Club until he felt comfortable to return, but he decided to play this week. GLHF

Creator.Prime is a multiple champion, but often is overlooked when considering the best Protoss in the world. He's one of the top 5 Protoss, truly fearsome with his gateway play. Last year he only lasted 2 rounds in Fight Club, which he's already surpassed. He's already defeated 4 opponents in 2013, but with a switch to Heart of the Swarm will he be ready?

Polt has been practicing his heart (of the swarm) out in Austin, Texas, while studying in school. He tore through the IPL6 HotS Invitational Qualifier, defeating QXC in the final. Creator is on a different tier than almost any NA player however; can Polt defeat him with his greater HotS experience?
Fight Club rematch! I think Polt got this one, because Creator's PvT isn't as invincible as it used to be, while Polt has been doing really well in HotS, and TvP is his strongest match-up.
Well there's only been 21 votes, but I'd say that Polt is a much more popular player than Creator and he's known for having good TvP. Not too surprising to see him way ahead in the polls since it has a lot to do with popularity as well as skill.
Polt has one of the best TvPs there are, plus he's had a lot more experience with HotS afaik. I'd love to see Creator go on a streak, but I gotta give my vote to Polt in this one.

He did have detection when Polt ran 10 mines straight into his army and blew it up though. Didn't make much of a difference.

I have a feeling heavy bio, mass drops with bio+widowmine going to be a fucking nasty all around strategy in the hands of KR terrans. Multi drops effective again with some unit changes, and that medivac boost is going to make the multidrops insane to deal with. Lift and boost to another base, lift and boost, lift and boost.
I haven't followed much HotS, but I'm intrigued... I love bio... I love multi prong drops.

One shot and do nothing after that, and they didn't kill "more than half of his army", just the MSC and a few zealots/stalkers.
Seriously this widow mine whining is getting out of control. Try doing what Polt did in a situation where the armies are equal and you'll see how widow mines aren't as OP as some of you people would like to believe.

Surprised we're not seeing more and more drop play. how do you prevent afterburners from being effective without a significant investment. Very quick tech up by creator. Might be too greedy?

He has WoL with GSL, qualifiers here and there which forces him to switch games, and that HotS Pre-Season tournament. Polt has the luxury of focusing on one game and ladder, but Creator has two games and many tournaments to play in.

I've seen Creator play much better than that, it was disappointing seeing those mistakes that he hardly makes. Congrats to Polt though, he really played to his strengths and picked apart Creator's weaknesses.

If Polt can do this well against Creator, he will have no problem against HerO tomorrow. I doubt HerO has been playing much HotS due to PL, and he has been looking fairly vulnerable recently.

It certainly wasn't Creator's best at all, but I think the two aren't too far off in their current skill levels in HotS. I think the results will end up fairly similar (aka Polt smashing the Protoss), but who knows, maybe HerO has been secretly been practicing HotS rather than PL because EG-TL is looking to the future.

Owned hard. Not surprising though, Polt's always been really really good with TvP and has been playing a lot of HOTS compared to most ESF/former-ESF players.

Why did Creator play in this one if he wasn't ready for HoTS? Didn't IPL say when they switched to HoTS they were going to let the defending WoL champion wait until they were ready and then they could come in and play the HoTS champ?
