Really effective. Placing it in the natural, in the vision of the terran even before he poked the front?
Symbols strat failed the moment innovation had a marine in place at symbols original nydus spot, but innovation counter-failed so hard when he missed the natural nydus right under his nose. Innovation will be kicking himself for losing this!

Happy for symbol, he deserves it, a strong contender in code S for the last 6 months. And in a way seeing bogus losing to an all-in, and people bashing symbol for all-ining while they were praising him when he did it against Stephano is good
Good serie overall.

Overwhelming urge to play zoo zoo bubble... ack.
So how about that zerg hate, huh? Totally bogus that he lost, right?
Given how much they were talking about how Icarus was a map more suited to Terran than Zerg, you knew Symbol had to go with something different. And this is not the first time that a Terran was taken down by some trixsy roach nydus play.

He played the map the way it's supposed to be played, and he always made the right decision on when to trade and when to back off, Innovation could/should have defended it with his bio build but failed, Symbol just played better than him.

Symbol wins were all games that featured ZERO infestors (ultra/BL, zergling/baneling, roach all in). I can't stop grinning right now, such a beautiful set of game plans, really really great stuff.

GSL has got to fix their massive down time. Add unique and fun commercials. Go to some MV's.
Love everything GSL is doing, with IPL and with their World Cup etc etc, but they should buckle down and make their foundations 100% perfect. Just do what you do better than everyone else. We don't need this "Global Standard", we need freakin' awesome tournament run by GOM!

There was one season where I believe Fionn had something like a 20% prediction rate and the curse started from there. Actually it was kind of funny to watch Fionn predict 2 players to get out of the Ro32 and then for almost every group the other 2 would get out.

I haven't been able to take Fion seriously since the "monster that is EG-TL #1 Proleague team" article.
At the time, they had by far the best results in terms of SC2. KesPA was lagging behind except for a select few, so I thought they'd do better off the information I had.
The monster will be unleashed someday. Maybe not this year, or the next, or even during the lifetime of SC2, but one day the monster will be unleashed.
Innovation/Symbol went pretty much how I predicted. Thought Innovation would take it in a close 3-2 series, but it really was a toss-up. People undervalued Symbol too much.

Hopefully Taeja can rise again and kick soulkey in the nuts, I want a good ending for WoL..

I'm crying Terran tears right now, please Parting avenge us and crush those impure Zergs with your almighty Immortals.

so, who's going to be the best player in the universe next week?
|
And suddenly, after Innovation is out, MC´s chances of becoming the last WoL Code S champion are pretty damn good.

I love how a zerg wins 1/4 Ro8 games and its Z v Z finals rage-time

The sad thing is Innovation had vision of that nydus in his natural but didn't see it that's what lost him the game
|
No more bogus shenanigans, the symbols are just overwhelming.
I am happy, my liquibet is happy and batshit crazy people on LR threads doing what they always do. Everything going according to plan :p

Who does Symbol play against next?

yeah. The rush looked like it was over - then he killed those two depots at the front. Then the two at the back. And Innovation didn't have any production for like 1min... Without the nydus finishing in the back of his base, he never would have lost all those SCV in the first big attack and would have been able to make even more barracks It's the second time I have seen a pro lose a game with a visible nydus in their base... but both of the others were 1-2 years ago hehehe (one might have even been fruitdealer against a protoss, nydus next to a pylon?) Despite his usual ability to multitask, he was too preoccupied with dealing with the push at his front. He could've sent his SCV's to kill it before it finished, but I'm not sure he noticed it honestly.
