Early game tvp is a roulette wheel and there's no way to harass you way back into the game. Medivac speed is going to make it impossible to chip your way back into the game. Bomber is playing TvP as everyone really should be. Take advantage of the asymmetry early game and get some momentum going so that the tech timings are all mucked up.

Yeah but that's the problem. If the zerg just builds the correct units it is an auto loss for toss. And there is never an option to just do some damage and then try to catch up in macro. Every early game pressure is an all in.
Edit: I don't think HotS will help with the third base problem. The nexus cannon is useful when battling lower supply counts like two base aggression and drop play but isn't enough against 3 base max roach rush styles of aggression. However I'm hoping the early recalls will allow toss to make the zerg play less greedy so they don't get so far ahead.

Not sure how that is different from things like proxy robo --> immortal bust (PartinG's build). You kind of have to get lucky with scout or play ultra safe (3-4 bunkers + lot of rax) which puts you behind in eco if the protoss is playing standard. It doesn't matter the 'number' of cheeses you have. It is how effective and 'unscoutable' those cheeses are. Zergs have even less all-in options in ZvT (roach bust, bane bust) but I have still seen more games won from just these 2 than all the terran ones combine after the Queen patch.

We are not talking about championships, but PvT, and Bomber is the god of PvT. He was clearly favorite for anyone who follows the scene, if anything, you are overrating HerO's PvT against bomber.

This is THE reason. +1 zealot attacks are super smart at the moment because the meta is quick 1/1 melee/carapace to help vs sentry immortal. 1/1 melee does super well against pretty much everything except +1 zealot attacks (which happen to be good in combination with phoenixes)

Winning 2 dreamhacks with very few Korean participants is nice, but hardly a huge deal, his NASL win was nice though. Granted, Bomber's win at Raleigh also wasn't the Korean fest that the later MLG and IPL's have been. However we are not discussing who had the better results in the past, but who was the favorite, and bomber is the best vP player. Your continued defense of your feelings getting hurt is a bit comic. It's really sad right now in HOTS PvZ you have to open blind Stargate every game now and pretty much do skytoss or your going to get completely dominated by phoenix, not getting a fleet beacon runs a risk if you can't get phoenix range to deal with the mutalisks. Basically Stargate is going to be 100% required for non risky play much like PvT all because of Mutalisks.

As moonglade on SotG was saying if the Toss doesn't open stargate he always goes muta and on NASLs pulse someone mentioned they no longer felt it was possible to fight mutalisks with gateway/templar tech.

They do help a lot to zone out the mutas though, just need stalker support while waiting for blink and storm.

Mutas also accelerate much faster. They can turn near-instantly whereas phoenixes can't. Even with no reaction time or latency I think without range if mutas turn and fight they'll always get a shot off.

There's a timing where you can reactively go Phoenix. Again, this is from Naniwa and Sase games where if they manage to scout the Spire they throw up 2-3 Stargates and just pump Phoenixes against the first batch (~7) of mutas. It's if they continue to build mutas even against your phoenix production that the Crystals makes sense.

At a certain point it does....Like MKPs army should of got roflstomped last game by Yoda's but it didn't because of being dragged around the map, same should happen with MMM, dropping places (before the 100 turrets are up) and moving around the map should be more than enough, especially with MKPs skill with MMM.
