Also, where's the prize money coming from? I don't see a sponsor.

A - That issue is being resolved. B - There was promotion on Reddit and will be again. Reddit is a tricky and magical item to control. My experience says that posting any more then about an hour before the start will not gain traction. D - The players that signed up have all received an email with specifics on the format, rules and how to check in and report scores. C - There will not be a bracket until about 15 minutes prior to the start of the event. Obvious reason is that the CHECK IN process has not been completed. Once we confirm those players that will ACTUALLY play in the event (out of those that signed up - always about %15 drop rate)... we will seed the top 16 players and populate the brackets. Once the brackets have been populated, we will give out a link to the brackets. I hope this helps. The tournament has been organized just fine.. you just may be used to signing up for an event.. having a bracket early and having to deal with a lot of forfeits. We wanted to avoid that and felt there was no reason to post all of the rules/settings/check in/score reporting information here.. would rather send out nice detailed email. Let me know if you have received the email please!

I don't see a sponsor. flamingcow.tv is NOT my project. I am helping with the graphics and the organization of the event. You will be hearing a lot more about flamingcow.tv over the next few weeks, leading up to MLG Dallas. There is NO sponsor. This event is being funded by flamingcow.tv.

Alright, hope the event will be fun! Offtopic: Been listening in on Climbing The Ladder for quite some time but I think I missed what exactly ES is. Is there any information about it out there?

I can confirm to receiving said e-mail (delivered 30 minutes ago) However is there a way to confirm our check-in? For example Playhem had it so you can see all registered players for said tournament and a green checkmark next to their name confirming that they have checked in. Now I know you guys chose the Google Doc path instead, and I'm a complete noob when it comes to this format. Is there a link we can look at where it shows the updated full player list with check in confirmations or what not, or would that be against privacy settings (anyone being able to see player's e-mail contact) Just my thoughts.

Very beta right now.. just created a landing page. The project is surely being tweaked and is growing. Basically.. the project will be a way for industry folks to better connect to find jobs in esports, services provided by ES.. resources for those new to esports and those looking for more information.. so on. Will see more progress very soon. Thank you for the interest.

I can agree that this is NOT the idea way to handle the 'Check In' process. Flamingcow.tv is in it's 'Beta' stage at this point and most events like this would run their check in and other functions directly from the TL thread, but we felt that having a specific and direct way to check in was a better route and google docs provided us with an opportunity to do so without coding an entire bracket system with check in function. It is very possible.. with continued success.. that you will see a complete bracket system.. (better then playhem!) soon..but as they are in beta.... functions will have to be performed with the resources available. I will post the check in list and the brackets as we near the end of Check In period. Thank you for the support and feel free to pm me any questions that you might have. Thank you.

However when you check the list they provide for Map Pool, out of the seven maps they list only ONE actually exists by said name, Akilon Flats. So there's going to be a lot of confusion amongst participants as to which version of the map is to be played (mlg/gsl etc) ![]()

1) We sent out an email to everyone who registered (all 94 of you) that included a link to check in. We know that other organizations have different check-in systems, and we know that ours needs some work! We wanted to get a event out to all of you, and didn't have enough time to implement our ideal check in system. 2) We're funding the prize pool ourselves. We <3 you guys! 3) The Open Bracket is not casted! You can certainly stream your own play, but please note rule #13 if you choose to do so. 4) Gwin will be going live on the FlamingCowTV stream (twitch.tv/flamingcowtv) to announce the four seeded players, and talk more about the event. That stream will go live at 4PM EST. Any confusion or lack of information we apologize for, GL HF in the event everyone!
