Karont3 will put up a great fight but LG-IM will take it home in the final game.
Karont3 can't really compare, unless IM pulls out the C-teamers.

I think this can only go one way. Even if Seed gets taken out, LG-IM has First, Losira, Happy and YongHwa to pick up the slack. Heck, they can bring out 10 GSL championships in MC/Nestea/Mvp if they really need to.
I'm going to give Karont3 the benefit of doubt and say that Vortix and Lucifron each may take one game, but no more.
LG-IM 5:2 Karont3
IM simply has a far deeper depth in terms of players, and more accomplished ones than Karont3 could ever compare to.
IM 5-2 Karont3
IM 5-0 plz (helps MVP i think)
Either LG-IM 5-0 or something close like 5-3/5-4. Either Seed gets an all-kill, or K3 puts up a surprisingly good fight (particularly because LG-IM is bound to use a b-teamer or two)
I want to see IM.http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/Ruin playing. P.S. Ready and horror did not take part in GSL prelims and I am 95% sure that they are inactive and left the team.

IM 5-2 Karont3
That's what they said about Liquid.
Unless the Spanish armada is on a hell of a day, it will go to IM.
I do think the Duran Brothers will take a game each. 5-2
Forgot Byul on the IM roster.
I am thinking here...
If Karont takes 3 games off of IM (quite possible), and TL all-kills MVP (Taeja back? Hero?), Karont will go through!
They could make it out, even though they were, by far, the "weaker" team on the group.

Correct me, but if Karont3 wins three games, they are 10-14 and TL would be 10-10 in this situation, so TL would move on (MVP>Karont>TL>MVP in the descripted case, so we would have to go to mapscore).
IM 5-1 in my opinion, we'll see. Probably VortiX will take a game or something, but LGIM is way too strong.
Seed all-kill please. ^_^
Please duran brothers you can do this!!!
seed, YongHwa, first--- do you have MKP? well ..edit.. forgot MC.
I don't think anyone but Vortix has a chance of taking a game off of anyone on IM
Seed first.. This will be an all-kill
oh nice. IM in IPLTL then almost the entire A-team tonight in gsl ^^
IM 5-1 or 5-0 I'd say. Lucifron I can see pulling an upset against Seed. Then Byul or First come out to clean up the last game.
I doubt that vortix can allkill any 5 members of IM.. goodluck karonte!!
What the...LG-IM vs Karont3 has to be one of the biggest David vs Goliath match ups ever. It;ll be interesting to see if Lucifron or Vortix can take a game off LG-IM.
vipro pls dont lose this now :o e, i cannot believe this omg
ViPro, don't give this game away after this huge advantage please!
viPro went full foreigner
haha he's so nervous :D:D thats somehow cute. dont be nervous man we are just some nerds watching sc 2
Dam my net went out. Could someone explain how viPro had an advantage and then went full foreigner?
On February 06 2013 09:23 ELlminator1 wrote: Dam my net went out. Could someone explain how viPro had an advantage and then went full foreigner? Seed had the better composition and micro-ed pretty well, ViPro overextended massively. Edit: He engaged poorly in the choke near Seeds mainly, getting all his zealots killed for free and then losing his obs. Kept attacking while Seed blinked his stalkers to the high ground getting a massive concave that couldn't be seen.
"Full foreigner"? Such an advantage in early game botched. Late assimilators and few supply blocks combined with bad engagements. And after all that it seemed close. Without those mistakes it would be "easy" for viPro. Nevertheless, good job. Guess nerves were working against him.
On February 06 2013 09:23 ELlminator1 wrote: Dam my net went out. Could someone explain how viPro had an advantage and then went full foreigner? well he had an expansion much earlier than seed and both went for blinkstalker so he had a huge lead in the probe count, but somehow he thought it would be a great idea to attack seed and not building tech went up to 6 gates and some nice ffs saved seed the game while he counteratttacked with 4 stalkers.
For a solo cast this guy is doing a nice job. It might be mostly due to the fact that he is a "new voice" but its part of the charm of IGN's new casters. Well done to both.
Dam such a shame. I really want Karont3 to take a few games. Hope KrasS can take a game off seed even though Ive never heard of him before.
Is Giantt on loan or something?
why o why lucifron... send in that lolvsxd... -_-

Revenge for Koreans vs The World!

yeah snipe that colossus son lol
???wtf seed... what a weird game that was
It's funny to see Lucifron play and win, especially when you know that Naniwa called him an "absolutely crappy player who only bases his play on luck".
haha seed was bming luci pretty hard during the koreans vs. foreigners event at ipl5.. that must have been a satisfying win for luci

maybe we're talking about the same thing. they played on cloud kingdom and seed /cheered his zealots during an early engagement and later blocked off his own 4th using 3 nexuses haha.

Is that statement about his warcraft 3 or starcraft 2 career?

Unfortunately Lucifron is pretty bad on Abyssal City, can't really see him winning here.

True has been showing some pretty good play recently, he took out Snute 2-0 and now LucifroN.

IM B team too strong
He'll probably beat Giantt but VortiX has sick ZvZ, he has a great shot against true. It wouldn't really fit if Karont3 go out to IMTrue.
At least bring in Yonghwa or something.

Only three more to go. No worries. :p

Not even close, as expected. Oh well.

I totally understand how you feel.
But the way Yonghwa tricked Vortix with the corridor and the phoenix was so damn sick. It's so simple but so damn ballsy.

So Karont3 is eliminated correct?
and all MVP has to do to advance is win 2 games v. TL?

I don't know if head-to-head or map score is counted first. But I'd like to know!
It's weird how IM is so good in IPTL but so bad in GSTL, they won IPL TAC 3 from the winners bracket, went 3-0 in their group in IPTL S1, made the finals lost to startale who still had parting and squirtle, now 3-0 their group again.

Well, if MVP wins, no need for tiebreakers. If TL wins, it will be 1-2 for all 3 teams with them 1-1 vs each other so head to head will not break it. It will come down to map score.

Ok so if my math is correct, Karont3 is eliminated and TL has to 5-0 or 5-1 MVP or they are eliminated.

Good effort by Karont3
But none the less, LG-IM winning was inevitable.

It's because none of the teams play their stars. Well at least not till the later rounds. When you remove the stars from every team IM on top by a much bigger margin than they are with them included.
Alright, we can figure this out. If MVP wins against TL they advance for sure.
The best liquid can do is go 1-2 with 10-10 map score. If that happened MVP would be at 9-12, and Liquid would advance. If Liquid goes 5-1 against them they end up 10-11, MVP is 10-12 and Liquid is 10-11, so basically yeah 2 if Liquid loses 2 or more maps then MVP advances.
For K3 to advance they need... Man, math is hard. Is there a way for K3 to win?

I am not sure about that. Maybe in the 1st IPL TAC. But for TAC3 and IPTL S1 2012 and this tournament. All the Korean teams are playing their star players when playing against other korean teams.
Look at 2012 IPTL S1 : IM beat the following
ST : Hack, Life, Squirtle, PartinG, Curious Prime : B4, Maru, MKP, Creator, ByuN TSL : Ragnarok, inori, HyuN, Polt, Revival
Congratulations LG-IM, topping your group and looking fearsome as you do it.
Didn't even need Mvp to do it.
Go go LG-IM, on to the finals!

I was right too!
And on another note, they REALLY need a protoss player on the same caliber as then. Maybe it could be a adopted brother, or something.
