PL monsters who have >60% winrate in PL have had troubles making it past prelims or qualifier rounds: sea, light, bisu, leta, soulkey, stats, violet, best, etc... I know that, but considering this is a 1v1 game you would think that the reasons for not doing well in one of them (when in both cases it's preparation-games and not a weekend tourney) is something other than strictly game related. Like I wondered, maybe the pressure of having to try to carry a struggling team is getting to him, while in GSL he only plays for himself and can relax. It's an interesting subject in my opinion.

Well Proleague and GSL are completely different. One is BOX, the other is BO1. GSL is more about fundamentals whereas proleague is more about preparation. Also a lot of tactics that work in GSL, won't work in Proleague considering the players have different skill sets. In GSL you can kill someone with just multitasking as evident of bogus against stephano or fantasy against Nestea. However in the Proleague, people generally multitask better, so such is not as possible. From what I have seen recently, the Kespa players are better mechanically, whereas the esfi players are better at making decisions. So it really comes down to what you are good against- whether it be decision making or mechanics.
