I miss KSL so much, top level games in a rapid fire orb ESL style. Good old days.
I liked his Korean casts. He solo casted all of the games, pointed out significant stuff, current trends, and his opinion on the strength of it. In terms of density of games and quality of the players it was better than GSTL.

or maybe they shouldnt do extravagant dumb shit like hire a live orchestra if they are running out of money

MKP in an interview said that his TvZ winrate in practice dropped to 10%. He's never fully recovered. When his TvZ was unbeatable he utilized a lot of early pressure and capitalized on his superior micro: combat shield timings, marine helion banshee pressure, 2 rax, etc. None of those builds are viable anymore. honestly I was never impressed with his TvZ. Just feels like he's ridiculously greedy without the cerebral aspect of Flash, Bomber or MVP to get away with it consistently. Pretty good if he manages to get rolling though. It's why Symbol 3-0'd him last Iron Squid before the queen patch. The terran players who are still good today, like Mvp and TaeJa, are all great thinkers, able to reinvent themselves, all having great decisionmaking. MVP yes, but Taeja no. I've never been impressed with Taeja and he was only good for 2 months last summer. Life is 7-0 against taeja recently and hero is like 7-0 against him too. MKP's tvz is terribad these days, but taeja's isn't any better, but mkp's tvp is far superior than taeja who has always had bad tvp. MKP destroyed hero in iron squid, and taeja has gotten dominated by hero a lot recently with the games not even being close. MKP has always been the better player than taeja and still is today, it's just he loses all his tvz but still wins tvp and tvp pretty well.
Bad analysis, but you can feel free to not be impressed with TaeJa. But his TvZ is still good, he's won plenty of TvZ even after being dominated by Life. Life is barely even zerg, he's something else far more dangerous... Ignoring his meetings with Life, since he lost to Life in GSL he's 29-11 against non-Life zergs. That's a pretty good winrate....

Orb casting was always top-notch. He might've been a dick and an asshole outside of casting/ on ladder, but he sure as hell knows his SC2. His casting of the IPL TAC3 finals was great

That's what makes Iron Squid what it is. If they didn't have all these things it wouldn't be the same.

KSL was very nice, but I am not expecting it to make a comeback anytime soon. The FXO Open invitationals and the EWM also died a silent death. If the current conditions of the eSF is of any indication, it will likely be harder than ever to fetch sponsors for small weeklies who gather a couple of thousands of viewers.
