Yes, now that they can use a powerful combination like Stephano-HerO-Revival in a single match, we should still put all blame to the coaching for not being able to close out a match because getting your other players experience in the booth won't help at all in the long run unlike what they think. This is all definitely their fault.

So what happened this week with EGTL? Taeja is injured and Jaedong was sent to a showmatch tournament.

Glad Stephano did well in his match though. That's promising.

You need to give your lesser players experience in the booths, even if it's just to make them feel like they actually belong there. Every single player on every single team is capable of taking a game off anyone. That's why proleague is so great.

Give them experience? These players has been competeing in tournaments for years now, and if they are still not able to perform in the booths then use the players who will.

Playing puma over jaedong taeja jyp is m a d n e s s. You dont send out your worst proleague player over your best ones.

Jaedong and Taeja were unavailable. Don't know about JYP
But you can call it EG curse because the players have said that many of them have gotten sick in the teamhouse (Stephano was the last who got sick for example).

I don't know how to blame the coach here. Taeja and Jaedong are not there, so the only other viable options are probably Huk and JYP, since I don't think Zenio or Thorzain could have won against Jangbi. Maybe putting your faith in 3 PvPs in a row feels like a better plan? I don't know about that.
That Jangbi played 4gate on Arkanoid last week doesn't mean shit that he is gonna do it again. And you cannot really blame HerO much for that loss, especially since we don't know if he even trained on Arkanoid (he probably trained mostly for Entombed and Ohana, but not much for the fifth map in the series when he expected to be needed probably on the 2nd or 3rd map).
The only strange choice is Puma, but he might just have trained that map all week long, so we don't know that.
Without Jaedong and Taeja, plus Stephano losing the first map, TL is not as deep a team as some make it out to be.

And finally, Jangbi played freakishly well, as did HerO. Sometimes good players just win three matches.

lol yeah, Hero, Stephano, and Revival are definitely a powerhouse. People on here try to find any excuse they can after their "sweeties" lose.

Giving them the exposure and experience AND still closing out the match with a victory? That would be a job well done.

Giving away multiple victories on the pretense of i am giving my players the exposure and experience they need in the booth, landing the team a 7th place in the league rankings? I believe you have your answer
Yes, i suck.

EG-TL should be racking up the wins in the WoL portion of proleague while they still can with their top players. When round 4 starts with HotS their clear advantage in skill will be reset and there's a good chance they'll fall to the bottom. Giving experience to their lesser players has no benefits.

I believe coaching decisions have cost them at least 2 matches in both rounds of the SPL so far.

IIRC Hwanni and Trot have said they will pick players not based on winning but who can get the most experience of the match.
Same with LG-IM thats why you should NEVER trust on them in Team Leagues.. T_T
Really? If that's true (anybody have a link?) then that explains a lot. Really hard to cheer for EG-TL if that's their philosophy... I want to cheer for a team that's going all-out to win. Maybe it's time to shift loyalties back to CJ.

JangBi played very good today. I think both Puma and Revival played too passive.

Didnt catch Stephano game, how was it?

lol -- yes you should definitely start cheering for Kespa teams. Teams like EG-TL have already peaked. The Kespa teams are only going to get better.

I can't get all the coach whining. This is a team, every player need a chance to play and get some experience. And anyway the only real problem here is that most of the ace players are not here or in bad condition. You can't expect EGTL to win without Taeja and Jaedong. And with Stephano constantly killed by a zerg, it won't go well for sure.

EGTL needs to shape up if they don't want to end up last on PL. Which would be straight up a disgrace to the "foreign" scene.
