Thorzain did look strong however this is fantasy not classic. Fantasy is 8-2 so far in TvT with wins over names like Flash and Bbyong. Granted Classic also has a win over flash, however he also has lost against weaker competition like baby and light and Thorzain. Lets not kid ourselves, Thorzain is good, but he isn't fantasy good imo. Not to mention Fantasy is known for making very good very accurate split second decision making. Also nerves wise, Puma is playing his first televized TvT from what I can see on TLPD in a while, and especially up against such a well known person I believe Puma won't be able to play his best to overcome the gap that is between them right now. Granted I know arkanoid is pretty much early 3cc, I feel like with medivac drops of biomech and some banshee harass is Puma's best bet to take the series because I don't feel confident at all that he could win in a extended macro series. | ||

Map scores matter, so all else being equal you don't want your strongest players in position 5-6. I very much doubt that this is more than a passing thought at most for coaches when choosing the line up. Winning the match and putting the right players on the right maps is simply much more important than map score, which usually ends up being irrelevant. Just one match win beats any map score advantage accumulated over a round. There is also the issue of putting pressure on players. Some players are known to be able to step up their game when their team needs it, while others fall apart knowing that this may cause their team to lose. Finally and most importantly: whether someone plays influences FPL. | ||
