I think that the biggest contributor to mech never becoming the favored style was the nerf to blue flame. Prior to it, we were seeing TvT slowly move toward being exclusively mech, and then as soon as the nerf hit everyone went back to playing that god awful marine only style for a while before we saw marine/tank and mech come back into standard play.

But yes, tanks are bad and back then they were good, and it makes the difference, i was pointing to it myself.

My fantasy team might be in the best shape but picking up Dear has turned out to be an awesome choice thus far. I know he isn't exactly the best player but I'm still anxious to see what he can do in an individual league.

SC2 isn't in a state where I would invest money into it. I'd would rather pay snipealot, lol. I wouldn't even mind if the free Vod's would be 360p or something like that but for a fee they can keep their stuff for themselfs. Absent for the first four matches, then comes out for his first game and takes it. ![]() Should have traded him for Hydra on my anti team after all. Oh well. Light's absence in the first four matches is even more surprising than his win. He had a 5-1 record in last season SPL for SC2 and was doing decently in a lot of preliminaries. He looked really good against Hyvaa, who isn't a slouch either. It's just surprising why he hasn't been played before this. Could be he took a break for awhile (explaining his absence from last Code A's prelims)?
