Sure it's played as a social sport in schools throughout europe but when it comes to teams, leagues and sport events, basket is not really considered a fundamental sport. | ||

It might not be in your country, but there are a number of European countries where it's big. I think it is (or was) pretty massive in Greece, and maybe the Iberian penninsula, possibly Italy, but I am not sure. | ||
