It was before the queen patch. Actually I think that MKP is the one that has suffered the most the queen buff because he never really recovered versus zerg, still win occasionally but even loses to nonames ever since.
Mvp has well actually, it was the season just before it only changed for RO24 in code A this season and didn't matter in the finals anyway. Sting did grab a win though, but against minor opponents. But Taeja also won an ASUS ROG.

Yeah, he won with mass Ravens on Metropolis for example. Then Blizzard said OMG WTF RAVENS ARE IMBA and thus, Ravens were never buffed.
Edit - To clarify, they were going to buff Raven speed and something else.

MVP won  IEM Season VII - Cologne and Taeja wonASUS ROG Summer 2012 just of the top of my head.
