As IPTL Season 1 steams ahead for it's finish, it's time for IPL to bring you the Playoffs and Up & Down matches to both determine the winner and who earns the $9,000 in prize money and who will move down to Contender, and who will ascend to Premier.
Playoff Schedule:
IPTL Season 1 Grand Final. StarTale v LG-IM: November 21
Up & Down Schedule:
Acer v Dignitas: November 14
When: Thursday, Nov 15 12:00am GMT (GMT+00:00) (we will also rebroadcast repeatedly afterwards!)
Format
MVP, StarTale, LG-IM and Evil Geniuses, Liquid, Prime and FXO will remain in Premier Division. The losers will be in Contender Division for IPTL Season 2. With SlayerS disbanding, Acer and Dignitas battle for who will remain in Contender division while Karont3 is promoted to Premier Division.
The playoff teams battle for the $9,000. Here is the prize distribution:

Yeah actually if you remove merz, Select and Apollo, dignitas has only 5 players, too.
If this goes to the ace match, both teams had to user all their players.

Didn't they use him once in a previous edition? I think I remember something like this. Almost as fun as when Karont3 played their manager in a match or when Fnatic used Xeris in an ace match in EG Master's Cup because Fenix was asleep or something.

meh Dream has always been a player who doesn't practice that much and doesn't really appear in many tourneys (he is a full time student I believe) still it seems like Dig is screwed here. They need to make some pickups after losing 2 players to retirement.

Bling probably has the best shot on Dignitas of beating Scarlett. JR and Killer will be next in line, but I don't see either beating her. Bling is a pretty strong immortal sentry all-inner.

Have I completely failed to understand this game even though I have played and watched it since beta, or was that fully managable with decent worker micro?

Scarlett went for a 14pool and bling went nexus first so his cannon wouldn't have been up by the time the zerglings got there and bling saw the lings running across the map and threw down a 2nd gateway (to wall off I guess?) but the hole was still there so the lings got in and killed the cannon before it was able to finish and bling said "ah" and "gg"

Killer loses the war of microing banes and having more lings. GG and I think Scarlett All Kill (JR is a possibility to beat her) but even if he does, it will probably be Nerchio 5-1.

He would have cleaned up the lings eventually, but against someone with Scarlett's micro and multitasking, the mining time lost, the messed up timings and the intel she would get would be enough to put Bling really really far behind. The game wasn't 100% over, but I understand the gg. You usually don't win after taking such an early blow.

Somewhat expected. Dignitas' roster has unfortunately been chipped away, and Scarlett was still capable of taking on those players.
I'd say Scarlett was favoured against their entire roster, but an All-Kill usually depends on some build choices, some luck, etc.

Sad to see an All Kill but can't really say this was unexpected. A few mistakes but mostly it was just Scarlett being better. Hopefully Dignitas expands their roster a bit.

She took down Bomber and LiquidHero at MLG. She took down LiquidHero, Nerchio and Vortix in RSL, arguably the best zergs in Europe, only losing narrowly in the final to Leenock. She's beaten Miya and Luvsic in MCSL. Can't say I'm surprised. She's regularly taking down Koreans, and her form is sick.

She did finish 2nd in the RSL losing 3-4 to Leenock in the final. So she does have some other results.
In the RSL she beat LiquidHero, Vortix, and Nerchio. And in MLG she beat Bomber (rather easily actually) and LiqudHero (Again). And in team leagues she has beat Miya and J (LuvSic).
Given those results and her consistent play I would say she is easily a top 5 foreigner (hell, Leenock actually called her one of the best zergs and that is some serious praise). However, Stephano still is the best foreigner until someone alse can get similar results.
Still a great all kill though.

It's only a slight exaggeration dude. Like someone said before she is top 10 and arguably top 5. And a whopping two series huh? Against who again? Also I think you should double check which foreigner had the highest winning percentage against Koreans at MLG Dallas. You'll be surprised to find out that it was Scarlett. She will be at IPL5 and WCS Worlds so we'll see if she can continue to measure up.
