 IdrA vs. RorOGame 2 Idra spawned in the bottom left of Cloud Kingdom; Roro in the upper right. Both went hatch before pool, but Roro dropped the earlier gas (before pool). Both dropped baneling nests and Roro decided to put on some heavy ling bane aggression. However, with good bane control, a spine and two queens, Idra held well! Idra put on some counter pressure without doing much damage, but when all was said and done, both ended up at 52 supply. The build orders realigned with lair, roach warren, and evo chambers all dropped about the same time. Both immediately dropped infestation pits upon lair finishing as well. Both players took their third and continued to macro up, dropping their hydra dens, producing infestors and starting +2. Idra took a decent lead with a sneaky 4 bane walk into Roro's fourth (using Cloud Kingdom's 'back door') taking out about 10 drones! The first big engagement occured at 16:30 and was pretty even. Initially, Roro looked to be taking the advantage but very good fungals resulted in a supply lead post-battle for Idra! He counter attacked, destroying Roro's fourth while securing his own, taking a significant lead, at 190 supply to 165. At 21 minutes both players had remaxed and were building 2k+ banks. Roro took his fifth and little skirmishes occured around the map. However, Idras Hive had long completed, and his 3-3 upgrades begun while Roro was just starting his. Idra managed to snipe Ror's fifth base but it was largely inconsequential as Roro was not yet mining from it. Meanwhile, Idra took his fifth in the bottom right. Idra also began teching to broodlords. Idra began broodlord production around 25 minutes while Roro took his fifth base again. Roro then started his own greater spire and double spire too, for upgrades! With 4k min and 3k gas banks each, the game began to look crazy indeed. At 28 minutes Idra managed to snipe Roro's 5th again with a roach hit-squad. However, shortly after Roro managed to snipe Idra's greater spire and infestation pit with a handful of roaches! However, because Idra had a second spire already, it was not of too much consequence. Idra managed to snipe Ror's 5th base yet AGAIN at the 31st minute because Roro's army had become very immobile, consisting mainly of broodlords, infestors and corrupters. Idra then, in a somewhat cheeky manner, took his sixth base on Roro's side of the map (just beneath Roro's natural). Finally, a HUGE engagement occured in the low ground channel on Roro's side of the map. A trillion infested terrans were dropped but Idra took the engagement CONVINCINCLY. It appeared that his benefit resulted from having a larger corrupter and broodlord army, while Roro had maintained too much army in roach-hydra. After the battle Idra could instantly remax with his superior economy too, while Roro remained at 120-130 supply. Idra pushed into Roro's main, forcing the GG! IdrA wins 2-0 against RorO! | ||
