The time has come for the GSL World Championship Qualifiers!
When: Friday, Nov 09 12:00am GMT (GMT+00:00) (we will also rebroadcast repeatedly afterwards!)
Format
The GSL World Championship Qualifiers are made up of two brackets. One for Europe and one for North America and the rest of the world. From the European bracket, two players will earn their way into the GSL World All Star Team and from the World bracket, one player will earn their way into the World All Star Team. Each player will also be given a paid trip to IPL5 to compete in the main bracket!

IPLMap Metropolis
IPLMap Ohana
IPLMap Entombed Valley
The first map will be on a set rotation, and then it is loser's pick.

Today's games will be commentated by Kevin Knocke and Kibbelz!

Sen's probably the favourite for most, but after GLaDe's great MLG run I have to cheer for him.

I was quite neutral at HuK for some time now but it makes me sad how down he went since switching to EG :/. Gogo HuK win shit again!

I´m not exactly a fan of HuK, but being down on votes against desrow? I mean his PvP is his best MU right now I think and desrow... no offense to him, but he is more of a popular player than guy with good results.

He is one of the most popular players, if you measure in stream viewers, afaik.

According to the the post in general, not even. He averaged 339 viewers, and peaked at 974 over 108 hours of streaming last month. I can't see that being called popular.

That peak used to be around the average back when he was streaming from home. He's also less interactive nowadays.

So it's teams of 5 now? Because when this was announced I'm pretty sure it was 3 from euro and 2 from NA/World join Stephano and Naniwa. Guess teams of five make sense but... damnit I wanted to see both Scarlett and HuK. Though, if it ends up being Scarlett vs Sen that's a pretty badass qualifying match no doubt.
Edit: What's the point of the bronze medal match for EU now?

It was always 5, just IGN thought it was Stephano & Naniwa + 5 others for a total of 7, rather than 5 total. So now the 2 people other people win trips and entry to IPL5 but no longer are part of the team match.

Long as they qualify still I guess that's more or less fair.
A little silly that "world" gets one spot on the five person team while EU gets 4. But skill wise it makes sense. Then again, skill wise these would just be nine koreans and Stephano so that argument doesn't really fly here.
