Format
The IPTL Premier Championship places the Top 4 teams of the Premier League against each other for a chance to be crowned the best team in Starcraft 2 and win the $9,000 first prize. LG-IM will face off against Evil Geniuses and StarTale against MVP for a spot in the Finals!
I cannot imagine Evil Geniuses winning this by any stretch. Once Stephano is neutralized, any one of LG-IM's players has the capability of all-killing EG.
Against Stephano, LG-IM has players such as Mvp, MC, NesTea, Seed, YongHwa (not likely), LosirA...
I know that Mvp will most likely not play today, but a Mvp fan can hope he does. (Or the LG-IM fan in me can hope that Happy all-kills today!)
EG has a really small chance with this if JYP and Puma can both pick up a win or 2 each (assuming a few wins from stephano) but I think it's very abundantly clear which team goes into this as the favorite.

Don't insult the good name of Dreamertt! (Okay it's not a very good name...)
But he beat Polt and Revival when they were against TSL. :p

He doesn't I think. He has played recently in a few NA qualifiers for tournaments I think.

I don't understand why people are saying "If stephano doesn't all kill, IM will win." Stephano can't all kill IM. He's good, but not that good. I imagine IM will take this fairly handily, at it's closest it'll be 5-3 off the back of 2 Stephano kills.

Also Stephano have not looked that good lately either with a weak showing in ESWC and against TT1 in NASL.
really cool battle micro from JYP using lots of chargelots to push back bio ball almost across the whole map while stalker/archon/feedbacks chipped away at the medivac count...
seems he traded around 20 zealots for maybe 5-6 medivacs... but he didn't have the warpgate count to re-supply with the necessary tanks (as in tanking damage -_-)... his mineral count went up and soon he crumbled to what looked like a 7 barracks rally across the map timing with medivacs and ghost follow up... GG

I don't know, he always just kinda wins whenever I don't watch him.
Kibblez literally calls the guy he's talking about the wrong name like 1/3 of the time O.o I don't see Suppy beating Seedm glad he took out Happy though
It's so important for zerg to scout protoss after he gets his third up. You have to be sure if toss goes for a fast 7-8 gate 3base timing, a 13ish gate +3 blink stalker timing, or some kind of tech. Suppy kind of blind countered the 13gate or tech part, but didn't have a chance against the fast gate timing.
Now, let's hope for some sick games from Stephano. I would reaaaaaaally like to see Stephano vs Mvp or Stephano vs Nestea!
Stephano's ZvP seems a little out of whack recently, considering he was considered THE ZvP god before. Lost to MaNa 2-0, and to TT1 2-1. Granted, Seed is a top-tier Protoss, but there was a time when Stephano was nigh-invincible against Protosses.
Incredible play by Seed, that halu colossi like Rain did to DRG is a great move, scare the shit out of a zerg who couldn't scout properly. Just like Seed did with the anoying 4 stalkers pokes at the main to give something for stephano be ocupied.
That was so bad by Stephano. He wasted so many larva on those lings and did nothing. Delayed upgrades, gass, expansion and all for nothing. No idea what was his plan, but I guess he was confused.
Hmmm, maybe this new style of a slow immortal all in that forces Zergs to max on bad units is worth exploring. I think I prefer the one where you just sit outside and keep making sentries that we saw in the GSL recently more though. I think Stephano could have played that out better/teched faster.

Preparing for an early immortal-attack. It's pretty much the same way he was tricked by mana. The immotal-sentry all-in is so powerful you have to prepare in advance, leaves you vulnerable to a later timing. Having said that, +2k in the bank could have been spines preparing for P attack, scouting could have told him no colossi. Weak play.
Brilliant play from Seed. He did an immortal/sentry all-in, and Stephano was ready for it!
Except Seed didn't move out.
Stephano maxes out on Roach/Ling, very few Infestors, frantically getting out army instead of economy or tech or upgrades. Seed sits back, takes a 3rd base, continues getting his upgrades up leading to a large upgrade advantage. The cute Warp Prism/Stalker harass probably helped him too.
Then he moves out, hallucinates a few Colossi and gets the sickest concave + Force Fields ever... rolls through spine walls and zerg army. How come I can't do that?
Insane play by Seed. To be honest if MMA isn't playing it seems like gg from here for EG. What's with Puma actually? Haven't heard anything about him for quite some time. Is he still on EG?
I think the solution to what Seed was doing is to research drops and just go kill him. You don't have to trade that well against a 2 base toss, and if he moves out you will be able to base trade so effective.

MMA isn't on EG (yet) and Puma just had surgery for some injury (I honestly don't know what his injury was).
Anyway I will be really happy if Demuslim beats Seed but honestly the fact that he just started streaming tells me he probably loses

seeds style is risky if stephano goes for a ling infestor timing on his 3rd, he got lucky that stephano made so many roachs blindly which delayed his infestor tech
hyuns opening is the best imo, he defends 2base immortal allins by producing lings at like 9:15~9:20 then techs into infestors asap if he sees the protoss isnt allining, if they are he just starts roach production

Stephano's biggest mistake was the lack of scouting and letting his mineral count get so high. He had the money for spines a lot earlier than he put them up, and a larger spine wall would've been helpful. That said, he was still really far behind in upgrades so I don't know that it would've made a huge difference.

Yeah agreed, Hyun's build is really great. The natural way to counter it is to get a third with colossi, but then he throws in muta/roach drop builds. What a pain.

I was thinking about that as well judging from the point when he took the fifth base.
Hmm this could be a fun game. Thorzain is one of the few who actually enjoys late game against protoss. He knows how to turtle and he has good ghost control.
I loved the harassment + Cannon/Templars to slow down Demuslim's main army.
It's so refreshing to see lategame harass style rather than simply deathball style. I know HerO is notable for this too, but it's a shame that his game vs. Leenock proved that lategame harass does not work effectively against the Zerg lategame composition.

Conan Liu @EGSuppy Make sure to watch EG vs LG-IM!!!
The winky face makes me suspicious.
He won against Happy, probably wanted his fans to see him beat a Code S player.
Because apparently a person who failed to defeat a Zerg with 11/11 against double Hatch with late Pool is Code S level.
Regardless, he was in Code S for three seasons in a row this year, S3-S5. It's a big win for Suppy.
Not taking any credit away from him as he seems to be the lone beacon of skill emitted by EG but Happy actually lost that game more than anything due to his silly opening. Suppy's infestor play was still pretty good though. You don't sse infestor burrow micro on top of baneling mines all day.
Oh put that on hold. It's gettting interesting. One base allin by thorzain.

That was nice of IM to give their code A players some game time nah but for real they sent out a heavy hitter early. Maybe they figured there would be a lot of eyes on this game since they were playing eg

Funnily enough MC was on the possible list of players for this show match.
Hm. Ok now we know the reason for Suppy's tweet and Demuslim's streaming and Incontrol's stream as well. Suppy can be p semi-proud of himself but all in all a disappointing performance from EG. Especially Stephano was underperforming.
iirc whichever team beats TSL in the semfinals of GSTL ends up getting 2nd place in GSTL -> so it'll be either prime, FXO or startale winning this season, then. an upset of ST wouldn't be out of the question by the other two teams, leenock is a monster and creator/mkp can be very streaky at times

I think this will be the season that TSL finally advances to the finals. Hopefully FC HyuN will dominate. I like the sound of FC HyuN. I wish there was a football club named that now.

Thorzain could have ended the game with the Hellion Marauder pressure all in build... Instead he went back to the natural to contain Seed.. Wtf are you thinking Thorzain?!
really glad that Suppy pulled out that win of all the guys that EG could theoretically put into this match (that is no Lz or Inc) he is my favourite. Though HuK and ThorZain are old heartthrobs as well so I would not have been unhappy with either of them winning.
