Polt can clinch 1st overall in NASL with a 2-0, second player to go undefeated in group stages (Hero did it), and first to go 8-0 in a season since Hero went 7-0.
Finish it.

He could certainly pull it off vs Ret.

Finish the fight Polt! Good match ups this week been a really good season and probaly the most fun division to watch. THX NASL

4-0 right side! A lot of clean sweeps lately!
|
Alive, Polt, Arthur and DRG should take the wins this week. Hope Polt goes 2-0 and finishes the season with an excellent score.

HuK, MaSa, Polt and MaNa Hwaiting~! Week 9 already, that went by fast!
|
Well that clearly secures Hasu's spot, and puts Alive in doubt for season 5, I think he needed a win to secure his place. Ret needs wins to stay in. Huk needs a win to stay in with chance to go directly to the Ro16. In fact Alicia is one of the people who could knock Huk down, so depends how Alicia plays. Masa is safe just playing for the Wildcards Same with DRG.
|
|
|
Alicia 2-0 Ret 0-2 Polt HuK 0-2 DRG MaSa 1-2 Arthur
Thinking Polt can go for a clean 8-0 in his group easily, Ret has not been particularly strong in ZvT lately, while Polt can hang with the best Zergs.
|
Alicia > Mana Ret < Polt Huk < DRG Masa < Arthur
But i think that anyone can upset here. these foreigners, aside from masa (he's still good), are pretty like top 20.
|
Despite being an EG fan, I really have to side w/ DRG on this one. If HuK wins, though...well, I'd be pretty happy. Other matches look interesting, we'll see if Polt can 8-0.
|
Isn't this the last week of the season? DRG still has 1 postponed match he has to make up, no?
|

Alicia 2-0 Polt 2-0 Huk 2-1 Arthur 2-1 Hasu walk over lol

And Ret vs Hasuobs.
|
DRG So many walk overs!!!
did they say he wont qualify for wild cards?
|
So they just said DRG is 3-4, does that mean he forfeited that match too?

Ok they just announced that as a walk over win for Arthur.

F@#$!!
Dammit DRG! 3 out of those 4 losses are from him not showing up.
|
Looks like he didn't take this tournament very seriously. I don't understand how he couldn't find the time to play a best of 3 against a player in the same time zone and on the same server.

He's a ditz. lol
Literally forgetting two of those matches. The last one he skipped in favor of practicing for GSL U/D and OSL finals, which is understandable.

They also saved him on another one. I remember him tweeting that he was sorry to his fans for missing another match, then Frodan saved the day.

yea, DRG's totally a blond valley girl sometimes.

It was postponed, he had to play it after OSL. You're not suggesting he didn't have time to play a bo3, which in itself is practice anyway? He had 2 Protoss in his up and down group and Creator in his Code S group.

Yea. I thought they were going to redo that match, but according to NASL today, it's a walk over for Arthur.
I'm not sure if he didn't want to play extra ZvP that people could study leading up to that finals. or that he simply ditz'ed out and forgot.
|
DRG has bigger fish to fry beyond NASL tbh. OSL and GSL are simply more important tournaments for DRG, and more power to him to skip them if he feels the need to. Definitely disappointing, but if DRG decides that Korean LANs are more important, he has the choice to.

Even if that's true, it's not an acceptable excuse. He accepted a seed, so he has obligations to fans and the organization to show up and play.
At least he profusively apologized on twitter before for such silliness as forgetting a match.

Really surprised at how many Koreans are forfeiting their way out of the finals, that's a pretty solid prizepool on offer there! Polt's doing ok and he's still in GSL and has been to foreign tournaments recently too

He didn't understand what he was getting in to I guess, when he sees Polt walk away with that 30k that could have been his, he'll take season 5 more seriously.

Why would Polt proxy racks 2 games in a row?
I think the overall quality of the games are suffering from this being a global online tournament. Timezones and scheduling games is just hell for the players.

Is Ret vs Polt over? I went to search for that tropicool link, had to restart the browser and now this? The fuck. xD

Polt and Ret are staying in the same house in Texas right now, as Lone Star Clash 2 is happening in a few days.
Polt knew what he had to do to win, that's it.

I always get the feeling that Bitter hates Lauren. It amuses me.

DRG vs Huk next? Suhhhhhweet!

Most likely Polt didn't want to play long games vs Ret since they are both at the lone star clash this weekend.

wow, lauren is looking absolutely gorgeous tonight. immediately, the guys got a testosterone overdose and hilarity ensued.
"you are NOT my pimp, frodan!!" *rofl*

If Polt knows how weak Ret is to this kind of play, it'd be silly of him not to take advantage of it. I don't think I've ever seen Ret hold a 2 rax.

Last time I saw it he lost even though he scouted the proxies early. Like..really early.

I thought a 2 rax was a classic Korean vs Foreigner skill test. If they fail it so hard the first time, why not push it again? Ret was probably nice and tilted too after the first one.

So Polt goes 8-0 and 1st seed in NASL this season.
Incoming he has to face Symbol the weak Open Bracket winner in the Ro16.

Open bracket winner gets seed 3 in the wild card, runner up gets seed 4. Neither can face 1st place until late in the finals.

This is so frustrating to watch. Huk's decision making is terrible. He really needs to stop saccing zealots for nothing.
|
DRG was simply in control the whole series, he rarely looked pressured or in danger. HuK needs to return to his fundamentals like macro and decision-making, he would be so much better if he simply worked on those basics.
