Hellions beat lings, so mech is the way to beat him. The hard part is the sky transition when the GGlords come. When MVP lost to Life 4-3, all 4 games lost were with Mech, but only when GGlords came out. | ||

I think the key to playing Mech successfully is to do some damage with hellions to limit their offensive capabilities and then heavily turtle to reach a perfect army (Raven with HS missile, mass viking, etc.) as well as constantly scanning and scouting for updated information on their composition and or tech switches. At the same time while Mech is turtling to reach that composition I think a player like Life can break them - he's absolutely the best in the world at finding vulnerabilities in builds, timings, and structures.... I'm fully expecting this game to revolve around Flash attempting to turtle and doing a great job but Life just relentlessly poking until he finds a weakness. Should be exciting (I can always hope). I'd just like to add that I think this is what MVP failed at in their match: he did the first part (economic harass with hellions) but his followup did not involve turtling, he moved out without a good composition, he did not keep track of tech switches and timings, and he did not attempt the ultra late game 15 OC's + Raven/Thor/Viking insanity. | ||
