After 13 edition and one year of tournament, Millenium, MSI and Llewellys are very proud to announce the biggest event online organized with MSI : The MSI Pro Cup Worldwide.
This time, the competition will be four month long, with 5 qualifiers, and 8 400 € cash prizes.
Hoping for Polt to make it through, and at the rate his TvP and TvT look, he should destroy any Protoss or Terran. Zerg might be a problem, but Polt is still adept enough at the MU to match the best.
Why are MSI Pro Cup admins neglecting providing of english stream so often?... It's like if Khaldor doesn't show up, they couldn't care less. Pretty pathetic for a guy who speaks 3 languages not to be able to enjoy the cast of a global tournament.

It has been said multiple times. Millenium provides the tournament, and the french cast. They advertise it on teamliquid, then it's up to an english caster to stream the tournament in english. If there are no english streamers at all interested in casting taeja / symbol / seed, I'm not sure you can blame Millenium for this. For exemple there is a polish and a chinese stream.
Forgg vs Lovecd will be played on NA server, but Lovecd has to dl NA client first. So instead of a downtime, they are playing the first semi during the download.

Probably the best monthly onlne tournament in the scene with players all over the world asking to play in it (that's right asking not invited)
Since I'm in a good mood, I'll answer you : It's to accomodate players. ForGG is in EU and can play whenever he wants in the day, Polt is in the US whereas Seed and Sen are in Asia. Since Polt and ForGG still have to play their loser's match, it's better for both Sen and Seed to know whether or not they'll have to play later in the afternoon instead of waiting 4 hours for nothing.

I dont get it... ForGG walkover ? what about loveCD, doesnt he get to know if he plays later on or not ? no NA client for KR qualifier ? You did a great job, but not enough mate. Still not a sexy tournament, but I guess after the past few other "made in France" tournaments, that's what we could have expected... (BO finals, hearing casters, etc)
Pointing out bad things does not mean I'm trolling. Use your keyboard trying to answer these simples questions and I'll be more than happy to apologize for those bad comments, instead of trolling yourself. Thanks

Well, we've already answered you about msi pro cup, convenience for players, and some problems with switch servers. Then I'm not sure how xenophobic comments from one (bad) tournament is not troll. Anyway ESWC 2011 was fine, Iron squid was probably one of the best event this year, and msi pro cup is one of the best online tournament. ESWC 2012 was just a big fail.
Why did ForGG got a WO against Polt ? Why doesnt loveCD, which is also in asia, doesnt play before seed and Sen ? Dont get me wrong, I'm happy to see more games from Sen earlier, but this is clearly not what one would call professionalism. Oh, and I also have to ask for why did the brackets get changed to accomodate players arriving late ? Am I mistaking ?
Sorry if it sounded xenophobic, not my intentions at all.
From what I get : Polt didn't show up (probably because of LSC). LoveCD vs Forgg has to be played on NA server, since Forgg is in Europe, but problem in switching servers.
And yeah, brackets changed (I don't like this aswell) I think it's because Lovecd was late yesterday, so to avoid downtime, they started First group without him.
On November 11 2012 22:49 eronica wrote: sen vs seed because lovecd had to download the NA client... or do you prefer to wait a long time to respect your "professionallism" order ?
Why would you need NA client for KR qualifier ? And if so, why did that not have been dealt with before the tournament ?

I think it was not start without him, it's changing a player from group A to group B, thats a bit fucked up in my opinion..
They said they were not ok with it since the group were more balance, but waiting 30 minutes or 1 more hours is worst( they even thought about giving forfeit)

MSI Pro Cup is not gonna be played on Kr/Tw server only ..... They said in the first qualifier that they expect the players to have at least NA(+ the EU or KR/TW if you are in euro or asia)

Can't seem to find an English stream if I've missed it someone help me out and link, thx +1 Internet etc
Seems like someone gonna cast an english stream for the next matches Someone asked to cast in english, Mill just said "k", as simple as that
The french part of the community have always said that, if you want to cast Millenium's tournaments in another language you are free to do so. Just mail llewelys@millenium.org asking for it. You don't even have to put special screens or ads, or pay Millenium for it. Free money and free publicity : EmSC regurlarly goes over 1.5K when streaming the cups and apparently Enders did it too yesterday.
As for LoveCD not having the US client, well that's a mistake on his part because I'm certain that since the KenZy incident (when the french qualified for the MSI Pro Cup never bothered downloading the US client), all participating players are asked to do so. Whether or not LoveCD received the information properly and whether or not he understood it is another matter, but that's completely his fault. And the organizer is being very diligent with him by accepting the delay he is forcing upon everyone else.

So what, they should play everything on the Korean server despite the lag ? Good way to ruin a tournament and never get good players again.

Again.
By the way the english streamer doesn't want to stream anymore ?
From ForGG's point of view, so I don't have the exact buid orders of SeeD.
M.ForGG vs IMSeeD game 1 on shakuras plateau : Both players open with 1rax FE/forge fast expand as it seems. ForGG going for 3 rax + reactor starport while sending a little troop to check for the third. Double medivac drop into the main + additional 2 raxes. Manage to snipe a cannon and 4 zealot/1HT but loses the drops to storm. Proceed to double drop again in the main, no loss and applies more pressure.
3 medivac drop going for the natural and 2 drops in the main while researching ghosts upgrade. The main force of ForGG encounters SeeD main army, they clash and ForGG escapes with 30% loss. SeeD is going for the counter attack into the natural of ForGG but ForGG is well prepared with 3 bunker and 2 ghosts, while dropping his 2 medivacs into the main of SeeD. SeeD can't break it through ForGG's defenses nor can he defend the 2 drops. SeeD ggs and ForGG takes game 1.
Game 2 on entombed valley : Cross pos. ForGG opens with 1 rax FE this time with the 2nd depot coming after the command center. Standard 2 additional rax into 2 gas but SeeD seemed to opt for a double gas build this time around. ForGG reacts by researching concussive shell first instead of stim or cs, plus he produces marauders and listens to Gangnam Style again.
He sends a little troop into the natural without going by the xelnaga. SeeD has expanded an d produced 1 immortal as of now for defense. ForGG researching stim/cs and adding 2 raxes again for 2base play, no ebay.
ForGG drops 2 dropships in the corner of SeeD's natural while attacking the front with his other troops. SeeD didn't forcefield his ramp in time and got overrun by ForGG's army. GG, ForGG wins the second game right as gangnam style finishes.
Game 3 on ohana : ForGG still goes for a 1 rax FE, but with the 2nd depot produced preemptively at 14 food to prevent SeeD from scouting, this time. ForGG makes his CC in his main.
SeeD seemingly expanded before putting down his cybernetics core. Takes his 2nd gas as scouted by ForGG's scv. ForGG reacts with a third command center in his main.
5mn30 ForGG adds 3 more raxes and takes double gas. He listens to gangnam style (his playlist is two songs or what?) but since it made him win it's okay. Adds another bunker in his natural when putting down his 2nd cc. Only marine production for now, one ebay started with the factory and both gases added in the natural.
9mn forgg sends hi third cc to his third location, produces double medivac and his addons are ready.
Finally take the xelnaga and scouts for SeeD's third. See no third. Barracks were added and his macro is starting to kick in. Produces vikings after seeing no third. Sees a colossus with a scan. 12mn seed attacks, forgg back in his natural loses his third cc and scv at the third. SeeD pokes but ForGG has a vikign fleet and a lot of MMM. SeeD snipes 2 or 3 vikings with blink stalkers. 14mn 20 forgg feels confident enough to go out, builds his third cc again at the third location.
ForGG go into attack mode, rally his stuff near SeeD bases. SeeD has storm ready and ForGG has no ghosts. Little pokes into huge battle, ForGG had a huge MM ball but not enough medivacs. ForGG forced to retreat, both players lost quite a lot but ForGG seemed to have lost a bit more.
ForGG sends one drop into the main while attacking, drop shut down quickly and ForGG has 5 medivacs and MM vs some HTs, one colossus and gateway ball. SeeD seems to lose the battle but finally his main base troops arrive and forgg is forced back once again. After 1 minute SeeD attacks with his tech units and it's too much for ForGG who is forced to gg. 2-1 forgg in the lead.
SeeD ultra fast scout, ForGG is forced to help his building scv with another scv. He makes again his 2nd depot to trap SeeD's probe and goes for a fast CCthis time in his natural. SeeD with fast expand right off 1gate, then double gas then cybernetic core as scouted by ForGG's scv. Nexus down before the 2nd CC of ForGG is done. ForGG with standard 3rax/double gas this time again.
Concussive first again for forgg, adds his fact at 6mn20, 3rd gas at 6mn40. Little troops going into SeeD's natural. Some units got trapped by FF. 5 rax again for ForGG off 2bases. No ebay. Sends two dropships into the main from the left side. Neither player does lose much stuff. 5 medivac almost full drop into the main for forgg while adding 2 ebays. Not cost effective once again, SeeD's defense is too good. However ForGG still has a good medivac count.
13 mn SeeD takes his third while ForGG upgrades his now built third cc into orbital command. 7-8 medivac and 1-1 complete for forgg, he attacks into the third of SeeD but retreats after seeing the colossus. ForGG tries dual front but once again SeeD is defending perfectly by splitting properly his army in two parts. The map makes it difficult for ForGG to attack and gangnam style still hasn't been played in this game, making it difficult for ForGG to win. Dual front again, this time a little more effective since ForGG has a lot of medivacs and some vikings, but he can't kill SeeD and thus retreat. Builds ghosts but SeeD attacks with archon zealot colossus mix before forgg has any, however his massive medivac count allows him to defend despite this. SeeD added HT into hi mix and tried to attack again but ForGG now has ghosts and his ridiculously high medivac count allows him to force SeeD's back. Harass starting from SeeD but ForGG defends it well enough. Warp prism gunned down by vikings without doing any damage.
SeeD again going in but with a massive archon ball, one collossus and a shitton of zealot. The ball is too big for ForGG low ghost count and he is forced to gg.
Game number five on tal'darim altar, old fashioned mappool as usual in MSI Pro Cups!
ForGG CC first, then adds 2 rax. SeeD is 4gating and forgg didn't build bunkers thus has a lot of troubles defending. SeeD has too much stuff and ForGG forced to gg. This map sure is really bad and ForGG must be hating his team for making him play on such an outdated map.
SeeD wins 3-2 this qualifier and ForGG is once again coming 2nd after being ahead against a great opponent. 800€ for SeeD and 200€ for ForGG, both are qualified for the MSI Pro Cup World final!
