Oh man, what kind of sad fucked up world do we live in where people actually like ZvZ and TvP over ZvP?

Imagine if someone had said this would happen a year ago....

Waw...HerO going 4-4 in maps and not making it to RO16. He must feel pretty bad

Glad for Soulkey though.

I knew TL was anti-zerg but wow. Discrediting a players wins? What player is going to want to keep training hard and practicing if they see coments like this? This is thier job and passion and instead of getting praised for their hard work people just say "blah he only won because zerg is imba." The worst part is everyone seems to be ok with this.

Because it's true? Think on the other side, Hero played much better than Soulkey and went 3-2 vs him, how motivating do you think that is for someone who makes a living off of it?

Seriously? Are you really agreeing that Soulkey won because zerg is just IMBA????????
Players had to work hard to win and discrediting player's win is just plain disgusting.

If HerO played much better than him, then he should have won.
But he didn't.
Too bad he wasn't clutch at the last moment.
Soulkey won and that's that.

How did Soulkey outplay HerO??? He lost base after base, and just sat around waiting for unkillable army. Got it, and just walked around the map killing everything. There is no answer to INF/BL as a Protoss. You have to be several times better than your opponent to win.

I never said Soulkey outplayed Hero.
The Korean meta ZvP is just turtling to Bls/Infestor and just killing your army.

Plus, Soulkey gave up on protecting his base and just went pushed down HerO base because protecting your base with Bls+Infestor is counterproductive and almost impossible with so much warp prism harass.

If HerO was several times better than Soulkey, then he should have cleanly sweeped him 2-0.

There are ways around beating the Bls+Infestor.
Just watched Sun vs DRG.

LOL this is like when Terrans were complaining over the summer and Zergs would just cite Taeja over and over. Rain is SEVERAL times better than DRG. DRG isn't even close to his level right now. HerO was only a few times better. Not enough to beat BL/INF. Soulkey gets 2-0ed in that game if the game is balanced.

TvP is unmistakably the best matchup in SC2. The Zerg matchups are boring and imbalanced in favor of Zerg. TvT meta game is relatively stagnant. Theres also more variety in TvP than any other matchup. Plus it's balanced.

Unmistakably ? I beg to differ. Even if that wasn't about a subjective opinion, both "TvP see variety" and "ZvX is imba" are wrong. TvT and TvZ have a million possible openings and builds each and evolve continuously. TvP is only about the colossus vs HT choice and both players always have the same strategy. As for Zerg being overpowered.... Sweet Terran/Protoss tears.

Discussing as if TvZ is not the best matchup to watch is ridiculous. Then TvT, then TvP. Funny, I don't even play terran.

Seriously whiners, just shut the fuck up. HerO lost, deal with it. No need to discredit soulkey as a player because you're a fanboy.

Im not a fan of hero and I dont care about soulkey either way but you have no fucking clue what youre talking about. Faster overlords means more scouting means much safer means you can eco up much quicker (or defend if need be).

I play terran and what stands out the most to me is how ridiculously boring zvp is. Statistically you either win with some trickery as protoss in early or midgame, or you lose to the massing zerg amoeba.

Remember the days when zerg had to be one base up to be even with terran and protoss? Well those are long gone now.

zerg can be a base down or two or three and still win lol.

Sure, that is the reason for the triple hatch build as a counter for the FFE. Seems legit.

TvP balanced :D

It's funny how fast people forget. WCS korea had 7/8 protoss in the end. WCS Asia had 6/8. Oh yeah, wasn't OSL won by some protoss (against a top3 zerg no less)? Yet after three rounds in the GSL, protoss is suddenly a broken race

I think it was boring back in the GomTvT days and smaller maps focus on siege lines. But the current trend seems to be terrans finding ways to engage these siege lines. And marine/tank and marine/tank usually means action all over the map whether it be flanks or drops. PvT still comes down to that 1 engagement (and some harass) once it goes past mid game. That is less games where it is really back and forth (there are some but not as many as TvT)

Any discussion on the best matchup is kinda silly. TvZ has been the most interesting matchup for a long time, because it offers both players the largest range of options, encourages lots of attacks, backstabs and harrass AND has banelings vs. marines in it.

TvT is the best mirror matchup by a long shot.

In my experience good TvT's are the most recommended on the polls on TL.

It's better than the other mirrors and anything with a protoss in it. So at the very least it's second best to tvz.
It's spelled LOSE not LOOSE.
